Noble, who has made more than 900 appearances before Southern California service clubs, is also a KABC news commentator with two shows daily. A veteran of 17 years in the radio and television field, he has extensive experience in news coverage in Washington, D.C. His current broadcasts include a 15-minute commentary each weekday afternoon on KABC and "The Listener's Di-gest", a syndicated show heard throughout the Southwest. Ngo Dinh Nhu, in his first West Coast lecture engagement Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. in the auditorium. 'Phenomenal' Duck Shoot At Honey Lake The Honey Lake Waterfowl Management area in northeastern California has offered some phenomenal duck hunting so far this year, the Department of Fish and Game reported. On the noon opener Oct. 8, 59 hunters bagged 178 ducks, mostly mallards, for an average of three ducks per hunter. On the first four shoot days, more ducks were taken than were taken there all last year, 767 compared to 638 for all of 1962. The DFG attributes the good hunting to heavier duck populations and good hunting conditions, wind and intermittent rain. Twelve hundred acres will be opened to public waterfowl hunting for the first time on the Kern National Wildlife Refuge 18 miles west of Delano, California, from Oct. 23, to Jan. 5. Must Check in Because of the new nature of the refuge and its undeveloped status, waterfowl populations on this refuge are somewhat limited, compared to what can be expected in later years. Hunters are advised it is mandatory to check in at a checking station and obtain a permit to hunt on the area and the permit must be surrendered at the close of each day of hunting. No fee is charged, but there is a limit of 40 hunters permit lawyer.
