“Spread All Over County”
By LOUISE METEER
Sometimes a woman just doesn’t know her own strength. Take the 18-year-old who came to Boston from Ireland, now, shortly after the turn of the century. How could she be after known’ that she would marry and have six foine daughters and two foine sons?
That’s what she did, though. She’s Agnes Dorler, who lives in Garden Grove and has children spread all over Orange County, one in Long Beach, one in Redodo, another in Hollywood, Fla., and one in Chowchilla, California.
To celebrate the first reunion of her family in 30 years the clan gathered at the Anaheim home of Mrs. Irving Jones recently complete with 12 grandchildren, and assorted sons-in-law and daughters-in-law.
Mrs. Dorler remembered her early days in Boston and Maine, the children’s growing up years, and her late retirement to Garden Grove.
