a plug-in dryer can do this much work in 150 minutes
Now really—why tolerate a slow, 120-volt, plug-in dryer when Gas can do the job up to about ¼ the cost per load? A Gas dryer is so fast that while a plug-in dryer does one leak, Gas dryer can do four! You stay ahead of your washing machine with laundry that's dripping and fluffy. And thanks to lifetime Gas burners, repairs on Gas dryers are very few and now really—don't you agree that a fast Gas dryer is a very smart buy? ■ Gas dryers are in Southern California • first in homes—sales figures show more homes here buy Gas dryers self-service laundries—almost 100% use Gas dryers exclusively. • first in commercial laundries 100% use Gas dryers exclusively. See the new automatic Gas dryers at your dealers or Company showrooms. Select from these famous makes: RCA Whirlpool, Norge, Philco, Midaire, Kelvinator, Hamilton, Easy, Speed Queep, Blackstone.

These were the words of Treasury Secretary Douglas Dillon today as he called on citizens of Southern California for added support of the U.S.

"Buying of Savings Bonds is a splendid expression of faith in our American System so that we may strengthen it for future generations," he stated.
Ensenada Children
Here To Save School
A group of forty Mexican children will be visiting the Anaheim area in an attempt to save their school by raising funds.
During a recent inspection tour by Mexican education officials, the school was given three months in which to raise sufficient funds to properly equip science classroom for teaching biology, chemistry and physics. If this science equipment cannot be furnished during this period of time, the school will lose its accreditation and will be forced to close.
In an attempt to save their school the children will be giving instrumental, choir and dancing performances before many groups. The first of these will be held at the Esther Leuschner Walter School Friday at 7:30 p.m. The school is located at 10802 Rustic Lane, between Magnolia and Gilbert Ave. All are cordially invited to attend and lend their support to these fine children from the Santa Teresa Orphanage to help them save their school.
Anyone wishing to contribute may do so by sending his contribution to Miss Stellamarie Nadeau, 10522 Harcourt, Anaheim, Frank Morales, 10572 Harcourt, Anaheim, or Gerd Grimm, 11572 Dorado, Garden Grove. Receipts, which may be used for income tax purposes, will be sent to donors.

Divine Safety To Be Sermon
The availability of divine protection and safety will be explained Sunday at Christian Science church services.
Highlighting the Lesson-Sermon entitled "God the Preserver of Man" is the Golden Text from the Bible (II Timothy): "The Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom."
One of the citations to be read from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy states (p. 151): "The divine Mind that made man maintains His own image and likeness."
These verses from Psalm 121 will also be read: "The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore."
