LEGAL NOTICES Publish Anaheim Gazette April 13 and 19, 1962 ADVERTISMENT FOR BID The following advertisement will or has been published in accordance with the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange in the State of California. The requirement of this advertisement will apply to the contract documents and bid procedures. The advertisement is as follows: NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange of the State of California will receive sealed bids for the following work: The construction of Orange County Project No. 105-2000-429 consisting of the Anaheim-Fullerton Municipal Court Building, Anaheim, California. The bids will be received on May 2, 1962 at the Board Room of the County Board of Supervisors, County of Orange Court House, Santa Ana, California, until 10:58 A.M., at which time the bids received publicly opened and read. The contract Documents, which include the drawings and specifications upon which the bids shall be based, may be obtained on a loan at the office of Grillar, Savage, Alves and Associates, Planning and Architecture, 515 North Main Street, Second floor, Santa Ana, California. A copy of the contract Documents including the drawings and specifications shall be on file at the County Clerk's Office, County Court House, Santa Ana, California. A bill of One hundred dollars ($100.00) will be required to guarantee return, complete and in good condition, of the contract Documents. NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that pursuant to the provisions of Section 790 of the Labor Code, Statutes of the State of California, or local law thereto applicable, the County of Orange has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and rates for legal holiday and overtime work in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to measure the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder. It is the mandatory upon the Contractor to whom a contract is awarded, and upon all subcontractors under him, to pay not less than said general prevailing rates of per diem wages to all workmen employed in the execution of the contract. ROLLORENA — 7820 Ka ORANGE COUNTY MUSEUM'S CIVIL HISTORY In the current Civil War tenennial war exhibit at the Chatham W. Bowers Memorial Museum, a case devoted to Dr. W. B. W. Dr. Wall was Regimental Surgeon for the 33rd Mississippi Rifle Division. He is best known in California as a resident of Orange County from 1875 to his death in 1900. In Orange County he became interested in fruit orchard cultivation that his medical practice neglected. His orchards were among the finest south of Santa Ana River. Dr. Wall was the first President of the Orange County Medical Society. He was also very active in politics and was a worker in separation of Orange County from Los Angeles County. The in due course, he was Orang County's first treasurer for terms. Included in the exhibit are Civil War battlefield medical and Bible. Also there are some letters to Mrs. Wall while he was on duty with the Confederate Army. Kuchel of California has urged Federal agencies to turn over to the State surplus Federal land at Beale Air Force Base near Marysville for use as a wildlife management area. In response tourgings from State officials, the senior California Senator asked for cooperation from the General Services Administration, Federal property disposal office, and the Interior Department in both acquiring the desired 7,700 acres and in perfecting plans to propagate and perpetuate birds and game animals on the planned Sierra foothills refuge. The California Fish and Game Department also contemplates some leasing of the land for agricultural purposes. The policy applies for both day and night games. Ladies will pay fifty cents for general admission tickets instead of the usual $1.50. The first game under the plan is today with the Angels entertaining Kansas City starting at 1:30 p.m. It will be a double treat inasmuch as Thursday is also the season's first Camera Day at the Ravine. The other Ladies Day for the club's first home stand is the following Thursday afternoon, April 26, in a contest with the Cleveland Indians. The Angel's policy for Armed Forces personnel will allow servicemen in uniform to be admitted to general admission sections for anaheim fifty cents for home bames.
