Y Rodeo Set Brown Names Two to Board For Weekend Of Chiropractic Examiners
National and world cowboy championships go on the line Saturday and Sunday at Devonshire Downs in Northridge with the stating of the first annual West Valley YMCA Rodeo, with proceeds going to the Y's extensive Youth Program.
Three go-rounds are scheduled for the initial Y Rodeo, now the major western roundup of the Southern California area and produced by Lysle S. Greenman of Chatsworth.
Governor Edmund G. Brown today announced his appointment of Donald Brownell, D.C., of San Diego and Carl E. Remelin, D.C. of Anaheim to the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
"Both Dr. Brownell and Dr. Remelin have distinguished themselves in the field of chiropractic and, I am sure, will do much to help this important board with its work," the Governor said.
Brownell succeeds York, D.C., of Los Angeles;elin succeeds Richard L. D.C., also of Los Angeles; terms of both York and have expired.
Remelin, 39, is a natal line, Ill., where he attends elementary and high school;tended Palmer College;practic in Davenport,igan College of ChiropracticLouis, and served his st at Boehmer ChiropracticSt. Louis.
He came to CaliforniaA Republican, he is a member of the International Chirop Association and theonia Chiropractic Association.
He was named "Chirothe Year" in 1950 by the Research Foundation, a national group of more doctors of chiropractic.
He and his wife, Virgia a son, Steven Carl, f daughter, Sandra M months. The family ho 1565 West Katella.
Brownell, 64, came fromnia in 1922. He is a Pomeroy, Iowa. He is a state of the Palmer School Chiropractic and is a of the International' Chiropractic Association of which he named a distinguished fi is a Democrat.

Brownell succeeds Homer V. York, D.C., of Los Angeles. Remelin succeeds Richard L. Kuxhaus, D.C., also of Los Angeles. The terms of both York and Kuxhaus have expired.
Remelin, 39, is a native of Moline, Ill., where he attended elementary and high school. He attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, and served his externship at Boehmer Chiropractic Clinic in St. Louis.
He came to California in 1949. A Republican, he is a member of the International Chiropractor's Association and the California Chiropractic Association.
He was named "Chiropractor of the Year" in 1959 by the Parker Research Foundation, an international group of more than 5,000 doctors of chiropractic.
He and his wife, Virginia, have a son, Steven Carl, 9, and a daughter, Sandra Michele, 8 months. The family home is at 1565 West Katella.
