The requirement of this advertisement will apply to the contract documents and bid procedures. The advertisement is as follows: NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange of the State of California will receive sealed bids for the following work: The construction of Orange County Project No. 105-2000-429 consisting of the Anaheim-Fullerton Municipal Court Building, Anaheim, California. The bids will be received on May 2, 1962 at the Board Room of the County Board of Supervisors, County of Orange Court House, Santa Ana, California, until 10:30 A.M., at which time the bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Contract Documents, which include the drawings and specifications upon which the bids shall be based, may be obtained on a loan basis at the office of Grillas, Savage, Alves and Associates, Planning and Architecture, 515 North Main Street, Second floor, Santa Ana, California. A deposit of One hundred dollars ($100.00) will be required to guarantee safe return, complete and in good condition, of the contract documents. NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, Statutes of the State of California, or local laws thereto applicable, the County of Orange has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and rates for legal holiday treatment for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder. It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom a contract is awarded, and upon all subcontractors under him, to pay not less than said general prevailing rates of per diem wages to all workmen employed in the execution of the contract. LA HARRA FIVE NEW CLASSES Started at School Five new classes were opened to the public this Tuesday, April 3rd, by the Anaheim Evening High School. Of these classes two are still open for a limited number of people according to Donald L. Bordsen, principal of the Evening High School. Business English is a brush up course in correct business English, business letters and office procedures. The course should be of particular interest to all office personnel or those interested in securing positions for office work. Tennyson Jenkins conducts the class every Tuesday night in Room No. 36 from 7 to 10 p.m. "Stretching Your $ Sense" is the remaining class which will accept new people. Charles Moore, an authority on consumer economics, teaches the average person how to better manage his consumer dollar. The study of a "personal but liveable" budget, interest rates and installment buying will be a few of the many vital topics for the course.
