Market Man Is Named to Anaheim Man Wins Post Appointment of Richard Market Man Is Named to Bank Board The appointment of Clifford Haskell, Southern California supermarket executive, to the advisory board of Bank of America’s Anaheim branch was announced today by Richard W. Gay, vice president and manager. A resident of Anaheim, Haskell is vice president of Alpha Beta Acme Markets, Inc. He is a former president of the Orange County Sales Executive Club. “Haskell’s counsel, based on his very active business career in this area, will be of great help to our branch officers.” Gay declared. “We are grateful to him for accepting the appointment. The board is one of a number throughout California which advise Bank of America officers in various localities on matters of economic and community interest. Class to Open A two-unit workshop in current problems in elementary education is among the special features of the 1961 summer session of Orange County State College, Fullerton. The workshop is scheduled from July 5 to July 18 from 1 to 4 p.m., plus arranged time. Anaheim Man Wins Post Appointment of Richard Spears to position of field engineer for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Akron, Ohio, has been announced by Charles T. Clark, local plant manager. Spears will assume his new assignment on May 1. A graduate of USC with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Spears joined the Goodyear plant in Los Angeles in 1950. His entire service with the firm has been in development engineering. He and his wife, Annette (a former Goodyear secretary), presently reside at 1516 Edith Ave. in Anaheim. They have three children, Nancy, Steve and Dan. Anaheim Firm Wins Award Kwikset Division, Anaheim, for the second consecutive year, received the First Place Division Award for metal fabrication companies from the Greater Los Angeles chapter of the National Safety Council. Pat Patterson, safety director for the residential lock company, accepted the award from J. T. Blalock, president of the chapter, at its 12th annual awards dinner.
