Edgar Hoover, director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, entitled "Communist Illusions and Democratic Reality," are being distributed to employees of Fullerton Junior College and High School districts at the request of the board of trustees. Permission to reprint the article was given by Hoover upon request of District Superintendent Ernest G. Lake. The article describes the menace of Communism and the tactics Communists use in their determination capture of the world, Lake said. "It points the way, too, for all of us to do our part to defeat Communist ideology and— at the same time—reinforce the structure of our own democracy by the combined process of exposure and education." he added. "We have sent copies of the article to administrators of all of the elementary school districts within the Union High School District and to the administrators of Orange County College and, at his request, are making copies of the article available to their teachers," Lake said. In a message to faculty members Lake said, "I urge you, as a teacher in our schools who each day works with our young people, to study carefully the following article which Mr. Hoover has graciously permitted us to reproduce."
