An operetta titled "A Gift for Santa" will be presented by the 5th and 6th grade chorus which numbers over 100 members. The program is under the direction of Marie Fowler with musical accompaniment by Corinne Smith. The operetta tells how one family learned the art of sharing and the result of leaving a gift for Santa under the Christmas tree. During the play toy soldiers, dolls, teddy bears, Christmas trees, and musicians enliven the stage with colorful costumes, gay carols and antics. The nativity scene, staged by Ruby Parry and Alice Frank, will provide the setting for familiar carols by the chorus. The meeting will be a family affair and those attending are asked to bring a Christmas gift for exchange, not to exceed $1 in cost. Those bringing children are asked to bring a small gift with the child's name on it. Members and friends are also urged to bring a Christmas-wrapped toy or useful gift for their annual crippled children's box. For the semi-potluck dinner, the Fuchsia Society will provide the roast turkey, rolls and coffee, while those attending are to bring their favorite hot dish, salad or dessert and table service.
