Demo Committee Members Chosen William Thomson, Orange County chairman of the Democratic Committee for the Brown Favorite Son Delegation, said this week the voting record of Vice President Nixon "proves he is unfit to be trusted with the high office President of the United States." At the same time, Governor Brown announced appointment of Joanne Pugh of Fullerton and Pete Peterman of Laguna Beach to key posts in the campaign to send the Brown Favorite Son prtsidential delegation to the Democratic Convention. The Orange County leader of the Brown delegation campaign said that Nixon's tie-breaking vote to kill Federal aid to education early this year was "just the most flagrant example of his pygmy approach to the pressing problems of our country." Census Officials Report About 300 Holdouts Locally The County census is still not complete—thanks or no thanks to some laggards. Housewife Disarms Would-be Assailant Mrs. Allaretta Lyon, 45, of 10652 Hedlund Dr., Anaheim was treated at Palm Harbor Hospital for several deep cuts on her right hand when she boldly grabbed a knife from the hand of a youth who attacked her in the parking lot of Orange County Plaza Friday night. Mrs. Lyon said she got into her station wagon at 9:15 p.m. when the youth with a pock marked face jumped into her car beside her and held a knife to her throat, ordering her to drive.
