One of the most exotic restaurants in Long Beach is the REEF in Long Beach Harbor. Their South Seas atmosphere is fabulous. At night it's a sight to behold as it is located on the point at Pacific Landing overlooking the bay (with all the beautiful lights of the city). The restaurant is surrounded by lighted torches. The REEF features luscious rum drinks. One of my favorites is Empress Pearl consisting of light rums and maraschino liquor. On top floats a gardenia petal with an authentic pearl nested inside. They also feature wonderful char broiled steaks and Polynesian dishes. I enjoy the chicken kona kai (½ spring chicken char broiled in champagne sauce). The children will love the REEF and their dinners are only $1.50. Your handsome host is Tommy Noh. Had dinner the other evening at the OCEANA RESTAURANT at 5202 East Ocean in Belmont Shore.
