St. Anthony Women Lay Plans For 3rd Annual Fiesta May 20-22
At a recent meeting of the General Council of St. Anthony Street Parish, plans were made for the third annual Fiesta, to be held on the church grounds LaPalma and Buttonwood Sts., Anaheim, May 20, 21, and 22nd.
General Women's Chairman for this event is Mrs. Larry Bomkamp. Assisting her as General Chairman is Mrs. Margaret Schinsky.
Other chairmen in charge of booths are: Mrs. J. Donald Rippon and Mrs. Gordon Boden, Fancy Work; Mrs. Helen Harenec and Jerry Purpura, Baked Goods; Mrs. George Fate and Mrs. Nicholas Arroyo, Parcel Post; Mrs. Erma Heintz and Mrs. Winslow Rainbolt, Popcorn and Candy; Mrs. Richard Sampling and Mrs. Edward Mcadams, Hamburgers. Mrs. Terry Purpura is in charge of carances; Mrs. K. W. POLASKI—Anna A., 71, 243 Dogewood St., died Monday, Mrs. Polaski, a member of St. Phillip's Catholic Church, survived by her husband, John S.; two daughters, Walter of Yorba Linda; two sons, Bernice H. Young, and Martha Edward and Walter; brother, Frank Kamien, and sister, Celia Janik of New York. Rosary was held in the chapel of Backs Troutman & Kaibars Wednesday.

SISTER MARY CONSOLATA of the St. Catherine Military School died Monday. She had been a teacher for 36 years, and has been teaching at the St. Catherine Military School for the past four years. She is survived by Brother Amador Esponoso. Rosary was held Wednesday at St. Catherine Chapel. Mass will be said today at 9:00 am at the St. Catherine Chapel. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles. Backs, Troutman & Kaulbars Funeral Directors, conducting.
CALDWELL — William Harold, of 621 S. Elder St., Anaheim, died Sunday. Surviving is his wife, Violet; a daughter, Mrs. Eva A. Rivera, and two grandchildren. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at St. Anthony Claret Church. Requiem Mass was celebrated Wednesday at the Church. Interment followed at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Backs, Troutman & Kaulbars Mortuary directing.
LOPEZ—Benito P., 48, of 1167 N. Lemon St., Anaheim died Sunday. Survived by his wife, Elvira B. Lopez; three daughters, Mrs. Mary A. Valencia, Mrs. Rose Vasquez and Mrs. Carmen Vasquez; three sons, Benito Jr., David H. and Frank L. Lopez; three brothers, Romulo, Mike and Raul Lopez; five sisters, Mrs. Frank Medina, Mrs. Joe Cano, Mrs. Maria Duran, Mrs Roman Munoz and Mrs. Frank Blanco; three grandchildren. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that DONALD MANHEIM and NORMAN M.BENDER heretofore doing business under the fictitious firm name and style of PALACE HI-FI-115 House Brookhurst Avenue in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, did on the 19th day of February, 1960, by mutual consent dissolve the said partnership and terminate their relations as partners therein.

WORKING RULES
1. Where a single shift is worked, eight (8) consecutive hours between seven (7 A.M.) and five (P.M.) shall constitute a day's work at straight time for all workers.
2. Forty (40) hours between Monday, seven (7 A.M.) and Friday, five (P.M.) shall constitute a week's work at straight time.
3. All work performed in excess of eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours per week or on holidays and Sundays shall be paid for at the overtime rate of the craft involved.
4. Holidays as herein referred to shall be deemed to be New Year's Day, Decoration Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Armistice Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.
If any of the above holidays fall on Sunday, the Monday following shall be considered a legal holiday.
5. Regularly constituted straight time shifts other than eight (8) hour per day shifts shall prevail for crafts involved.
It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom a contract is awarded and upon all subcontractors under order not less than said general prevailing rates of hourly wages to all workmen employed in the execution of the Contract.
Each bid shall be made out on a form to be obtained at the office of Ramberg & Lowrey, Architects, 2015 North Main Street, Santa Ana, California, and must be accompanied by a certified or cashier check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid made payable to the county of Orange.

FORMULA:
The above mentioned check or bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into Contract if awarded the work, and will be declared forfeited if the successful bidder refuses to enter into said Contract after being requested to do so by the Board of Supervisors of The County of Orange.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a labor and material bond in an amount equal to ten% of the contract price and a faithful performance bond in an amount equal to ten% of the contract price; said bonds to be secured from a surety company satisfactory to the Board of Supervisors of The County of Orange.
The Board of Supervisors, County of Orange, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part of any bid, and/or waive any irregularity in a bid.
Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw his bid, or any part of his bid, for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof.
