Brown has already met with enthusiastic approval by Southern Californians who are intimately acquainted with him. He is an astute administrator and will be of inestimable value to Finance Director John Carr. His first assignment will be an exhaustive study of the district and state fairs. Much criticism has been heaped upon district fairs for the very valid reason that funds have been allocated by the millions for many years without a check by the State on how the money should be spent. Orange County Fair, of course, will come under the scrutiny of Muchmore and it is said that at least four new directors will be appointed by Governor Brown forthwith. Two of the present eight directors’ terms expire this month. You Asked For It Due to popular demand the Anaheim Park and Recreation Department will offer seven complete golf classes to local residents as a part of its Winter program.
