Anaheim Deputies to Register Voters for Next Year’s Election Faced with an unprecedented influx of new voters due to phenomenal growth, registration of voters for the 1960 presidential and congressional elections has started in Orange County. County Clerk L. B. Wallace, in charge of voter registration, announces registration deputies have been appointed for all localities. The objective is to make registration more convenient for voters. All persons who have moved into Orange County must register if they are to vote in the 1960 presidential elections. Requirements are that they must have been in the state one year, in the county 90 days and registered in their precinct 54 days. Wallace says after the last registration appeal appeared in Orange County news. Kermore Residents Just Aren’t Happy “What's in a name?” questioned Bill Shakespeare in one of his more morose moments. And residents of Kermore Lane, erstwhile Monroe Ave., Anaheim, subscribed to what the Bard of Avon wrote in that respect. Some months ago, the County Board of Supervisors, at the request of Monroe Ave. residents, changed the name of their street to Kermore Lane. Reason: there were too many Monroes in this neck of the woods. Now there's complications. Kilroy Co., industrial realtors, a 20,000 square foot building now under construction in the Anaheim Industrial District. Total valuation of land, buildings and improvements will exceed $250,000.
