S - Anaheim Gazette Anaheim, Calif., Thurs., June 25, 1959 Don't Let Thieves In on Your Vacation A warning from the Anaheim Police Department this week is if you are going on vacation, don't let the thieves of the region in on the secret. Police Chief Mark Stephenson reminded that sometimes housebreakers look for obvious signs of the empty house: The overgrown lawn, the stack of furled newspapers, the drawn shades, the growing collection of milk bottles, the miscellaneous collection of junk that collects in front of the house. He suggests all residents going on vacations make arrangements with neighbors to take care of these items. City Schools Seek Two More Sites In response to the planning department's population saturation study, the Anaheim City School District has moved to secure two 10-acre school site east of Placentia.
