Anaheim Gazette Dec. 25, 1856 & Jan. 1, 1859) (2) LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSAL FOR PURNISHING ALL MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT AND PERFORMING ALL WORK NECESSARY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION AND COMPLETION WITHIN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, OR RANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE IN THE OPERATION OF THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM OF THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC IMPROvement OR WORK: THE IMPROvement OF HASTER STREET, FROM KATELLA AVENUE TO 1400 FEET SOUTH OF KATELLA AVENUE. JOB NO. 11. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed proposals will be received by the City of Anaheim at the office of the City Clerk up to the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. on the 15th day of January, 1858, and will be opened on said date at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. In public, in the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, State of California, by the City Clerk and the City Engineer, for furnishing the following: All plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and complete in a good and workmanlike manner. In strict accordance with the specifications, plans and drawings thereof on the time of office of the Clerk or City Engineer of the City of Anaheim, the following public improvement, to wit: The improvement of Haster Street, from Katella Avenue to 1400 feet south of Katella Avenue, by excavation, removal of existing material, paving with 4-inch plant-mix surfacing, adjusting existing manholes to grade, and appurtenant works indicated on the plans. Job No. 218 and shall be tabulated by the City Engineer and the result thereof reported to the City Council at its next regular or adjourned regular meeting for action thereon by said City Council. PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the City Engineer and the result thereof reported to the City Council at its next regular or adjourned regular meeting for action thereon by said City Council. of the City of Anaheim and shall be accompanied by a certified or authorized check or bid bond for one cent per cent of the amount of the loan made payable to the City of Anaheim and landlord at the City Clerk at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim before no clock P.M. on the 15th day of January, 1858, at which time secured proposals will be opened in public by the City Clerk and the City Engineer. Sealed proposals shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and marked in the upper left hand corner of THE IMPROVEMENT OF HASTER STREET. JOB NO. 218 together with the name and address of the bolder. The above mentioned check or bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract if awarded to him and will be declared defeated if the successful bidder resumes to enter into a contract if being presented to do so by the City of Anaheim. Contract shall be entered into within fifteen (15) days after receipt of a contractor notice of the award of the contract unless such time is extended by the City of Anaheim. Each bid must specify the name and location of the mill stock required to perform work or labor or tender services to the contractor in order to improve the construction of the work which will be done by each subcontractor. If any bid submitted fails to specify a subcontractor as a forwarded contractor submitting such bid agrees to perform the work binds by. The one successful bidder will be required to furnish a faithful performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and a labor and material bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and bonds to be secured from a surety or bonding company satisfaction for each contract completed in six months (6-06) dollars if forwarded by mail. The successful bidder will be required to continuously maintain adequate protection of all his work and adjacent properties from damage arising out of the performance of the contract and to furnish the City with public liability insurance in an amount not less than $50000 on account of any one accident, and property damage insurance in an amount not less than $50000 on public liability insurance used by him whether on or off the premises in an amount of $50000 or injuries to any one person of any one accident or injury to any one person of any one accident or injury to any one person of any The overtime rule establishing the rates of overtime and holiday work shall be in accordance with the following Where a single shift is worked, eight hours of continuous employment, except for lunch periods shall constitute a day's work beginning on Monday and ending through Friday each week. Work is required in excess of eight hours in any one day or during the interval of time from 2:00 o'clock P.M. Friday and 12:00 o'clock midnight Saturday, such work shall be paid for at the minimum rate of one and one-half times the basic rate of wages, and on Sunday and holiday such work shall be paid for at the minimum rate of double the basic rate of wages except as otherwise provided in the May 1956 revision of the A.G.C., B.C.A., H.B.I., E.G.C.A., A.F.L., CLO, Southern California Master Labor Agreement. Holidays as herein referred to shall be deemed to be New Year's Day, Decoration Day, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, Easter Day, and Christmas Day. If any of the above mentioned holidays other than Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day falls on Sunday, the following Monday shall be considered a legal holiday. It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom the contract awarded and upon any subcontractor under him not pay not less than the specified rates of wages to all laborers, workers and mechanics employed by them in the execution of the contract.
