LEGAL NOTICE HOUSE BUILDING REQUIRED PROGRAM FOR PUBLISHING AND MARKETING OF WORK NECESSARY AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION AND COMPLETION WITH THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, GRAND COUNTY, IN AUDIENCE WITH THE APPROVEMENT OR IMPROVEMENT OF THE FOLLOWING PURCHASE: IMPROVEMENT OF MASTER STREET FROM KATELLA AVENUE TO THE FIRST SOUTH NANAHUA AVENUE JOB NO. 34. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that should commence will be executed by the City of Anaheim at the office of the City Clerk on the 6th day of January, 1950, and will be opened on the hour of 2:00 p.m. in public in the City Council chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim State of California, by the City Clerk and the City Engineer, for furnishing the following all plant, linen, services materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and complete in a good and workmanlike manner. In street accordance with the specified plans and drawings therefor the City Clerk or City Engineer of the City of Anaheim, the following public improvement, to-wit: The improvement of Hauser Street from Katella Avenue to 100 feet south of Katella Avenue, by excavation, removal of existing material, placing with 6-inch plant-mix surfacing, adjusting existing machines to grade, and apportment and installation on the plan. Job No. 218 and shall be tabulated by the City Engineer and the result thereof reported to the City Council at its next regular or adjourned regular meeting for action thereon by said City Council. All foremen, unless separately classified, shall be paid as provided in the May, 1956 revision of the A.G.C., B.C.A., H.B.L., E.G.C.A., A.F.L., C.I.O., Southern California Master Labor Agreement. Apprentices may be employed in conformity with Section 1771.5 of the Construction Code. The rate of per diem wages for each of the various classifications of work shall be the hereinbefore set forth prevailing rates of hourly effort on the sum of Bits and noily (64,000 Dollars) forward by mail. The successful biddder will be required to continuously maintain adequate protection of all his work and any part from damage arising out of the contract and to furnish the City with public liability insurance in an amount not less than $100,000.00 on account of any one accident, and property damage insurance in an amount not less than $100,000.00 and public liability insurance to cover vehicles in an amount of $10,000.00 or injuries to any one person or for any one accident, and property damage in an amount of $100,000.00 for any one accident, and property damage in an amount of $100,000.00 for any one accident, and property damage in an amount of $100,000.00 for any one accident, and property damage in an amount of $100,000.00 for any one accident, and property damage in an amount of $100,000.00 for any one accident, and property damage in an amount of $1 Health and Welfare payments shall be made in accordance with the Southern California Master Labor Agreement. The written rule establishing the rates of overtime and holiday work shall be in accordance with the following: Where a single shift is worked, eight hours of continuous employment, except for lunch periods, shall constitute a day's work beginning on Monday and continuing through Friday each week. Where work is required in excess of eight hours in any one day or during the interval of time from 4:00 P.M. Friday and 12:00 o'clock midnight Saturday, such work shall be paid for at the minimum rate of one and one-half times the basic rate of wages, and on Sundays and holidays such work shall be paid for at the minimum rate of double the basic rate of wages, except as otherwise provided in May 1956 resolution of the City Clerk B.C.E.C.A. A.F.L. C.I.O. Southern California Master Labor Agreement. Holidays as herein referred to shall be deemed to be New Year's Day, Decoration Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Armament Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If any of the above mentioned holidays shall fall on Sunday, the following Monday shall be considered a legal holiday. It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded and upon any subcontractor under him to pay not less than the specified rates of wages to all labourers, workmen and mechanics employed by them in the execution of the contract. The just-shall be made out on a form to be obtained at the office of the City Clerk or the City Engineer.
