S. P. to Handle UAL Tickets in Tri-State Area Sale by Southern Pacific railroad of United Air Lines tickets, the first such arrangement effected in the country between a railroad and airline, will start Oct. 1. Officials of S.P. announced today tickets will be sold in about 130 rail station ticket offices in California, Oregon and Nevada where United has no office or representation. Airline tickets will not be sold at SP offices in larger cities. Flight information, as well as UAL reservations and tickets, will be provided by the SP stations, which are linked with the railroad's central reservation bureau in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Portland.
