Add egg yolks one at a time, and beat thoroughly after addition of each. Sift flour, measure, sift again with baking powder. Mix vanilla and almond extract with milk. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately to creamed mixture, beating gently after each addition. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Spread batter in three 9" round layer pans and bake 30 mins. in moderate oven (350).
