ORDINANCE NO. 5
AN ORDINANCE OF THE STANTON COUNTY WATER DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND ORDERING THE ANNEXATION AND INCLUSION OF CERTAIN NON-CONTIGUOUS MEN WITH THE STANTON COUNTY WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, pursuant to proceedings heretofore had and taken in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 2, Part 8, Division 12 of the Water Code of the State of California, which said Division 12 is also known as the "County Water District Law," a petition has been duly and regularly filed with the Secretary of said District, and notice of the filing of said petition and of the time and place of hearing thereon has been duly regularly given and published in the manner required by law, and notice of the time and place of said hearing has been duly and regularly mailed to all persons entitled thereto, and said hearing has been had and conducted by the Board of Directors of said District at the time and place and in the manner as required by law, at which hearing the Board has heard and considered the petition and all objections to it presented in writing; and
WHEREAS, the said public hearing has been duly and regularly closed and the question of whether or not said territory should be included in said District has been finally submitted to this Board for its determination as follows:
1. That by reasons of the foregoing and the proceedings had, the Board of Directors of the Stanton County Water District, of Orange County, California, does hereby find and determine as follows:
1. That the aforementioned petition for inclusion and annexation of non-contiguous land to the Stanton County Water District, which petition is dated and verified on June 30, 1854, and was filed with the Secretary of this District, on July 22, 1854, and which is audited by Frank J. O'Connor and William D. Prout as partners doing business under the firm name and style of O'CONNOR-PROUT COMPANY, a co-partnership, as owners and petitioners, and which requests the inclusion and annexation of the hereinafter described non-

and the proceedings had, the Board of Directors of the Stanton County Water District, of Orange County, California, does hereby find and determine as follows:
1. That the aforementioned petition for inclusion and annexation of noncontiguous land to the Stanton County Water District, which petition is dated and verified on June 30, 1954, and was filed with the Secretary of this District on July 22, 1954, and which is signed by Frank J. O'Connor and William D. Prout, as co-partnership, as owners and petitioners, and which requests the inclusion and annexation of the hereinafter described noncontiguous land to the Stanton County Water District, complies with the provisions of Chapter 2, Part 8, Division 12 of the Water Code of the State of California.
2. That the inclusion of said land described in said petition and hereinafter described is authorized by said Chapter 2, Part 8, Division 12 of the Water Code of the State of California.
3. That the inclusion of said land will be for the best interests of the Stanton County Water District.
4. That the inclusion of said land will be for the best interest of the land proposed by said petition to be so annexed and included in this District.
5. That each and all of the owners of said land proposed to be annexed and included, as aforesaid, have signed the petition for inclusion and have therefore consented to and requested such inclusion.
6. That the said petition for inclusion has been executed, is in all respects genuine and sufficient and the notice of the hearing of the said petition in all respects complies with the requirements of Chapter 2, Part 8, Division 12 of the Water Code of the State of California, and that said notice was in all respects given in the manner and form as provided by said Chapter 2, Part 8, Division 12 of the Water Code of the State of California.
7. That all of the land proposed to be so annexed and included in said District is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, is non-contiguous to the existing boundaries of the Stanton County Water District, and is hereinafter more particularly described as follows:
The South ten acres of the East one-half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 13... Township 4 South, Range 11 West, San Bernardino Basin and Meridian in Orange County more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said East one-half and running thence North 0° 09' 22" West, along the West line of said East one-half, 665.28 feet; thence North 83° 28' 17" East, 664.12 feet to the East line of said East one-half; thence South 6° 08' 28" East, along said East line, 665.32 feet to the South line of the Northwest one-quarter of said Section 13; thence South 59° 28' 30" West, along said South line, 663.25 feet to the point of beginning; containing 6.70 acres exclusive of a portion of Orange Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BY REASON OF THE FOREGOING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE STANTON COUNTY WATER DISTRICT, AS PLOWS:
Section 1: That the annexation and inclusion of all of the land herein above described to the Stanton County Water District be, and the game hereby is ordered.
Section 2: That the Secretary shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and the same shall be signed

Section 1: That the annexation and inclusion of all of the land herein above described to the Stanton County Water District be, and the same hereby is ordered.
Section 2: That the Secretary shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and the same shall be signed by the President and attested by the Secretary, and thereafter the Secretary shall cause this ordinance to be published once in the Anaheim Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation, published, circulated within the County of Orange, State of California, and hereby designated for that purpose. The Board does hereby find and determine that there is no newspaper of general circulation printed, published and circulated within the Stanton County Water District and that publication of this ordinance should therefore be made in the Anaheim Gazette, as aforesaid.
That said publication shall be made within fifteen (15) days after date of adoption hereof. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the expiration of 20 days from and after the date of adoption hereof.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 26th day of August, 1954.
