company was photographed, then marched up town. The Company took the 5:20 train for the north and arrived in camp on Saturday morning at 8 o'clock.
P. A. Nicolls is putting down a well 600 feet deep at an expense of $2500 for his private pumping plant S. A. Bedell is putting down another 360 feep. The first will cost $800 and the second $700.
Fred Bixby of Long Beach, is improving 500 acres of his land above Yorba and will have one of the best stock ranches in Southern California. Alfalfa will be grown intensively. V. E. Wilson also of Long Beach, has built a home on the tract and moved his family there.
Joseph Helmsen has registered 206 voters this year and E. B. Merriott 122. Registration closes Sept. 28. Unless voters who have no registered since the first of this year, re-register by Sept. 28 they lose their vote. Helmsen and Merriott have been appointed registration clerks for the city and all voters may register with them without charge.
Robert Thiele died at the California hospital in Los Angeles on Monday. Mr. Thiele was a native of Germany and was aged 71 years. He was a brother-in-law of the

School trustees met on Monday
afternoon and had submitted for
consideration a number of plans
for the proposed new primary
school building to be erected here.
No decision was made and another
meeting was held yesterday. Final
decision will be made next Monday evening. The school trustees
have bargained for the purchase of
a lot on the Kossert tract, at the
corner of Broadway and Olive
streets.
Mr. and Mrs. Will Julian of Long
Beach were guests of friends in
town during the week. Mr. Julian
is a former resident of this city.
He occupies the position of city
clerk of the seaside city.
Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Holcomb and
child, returned this week from
Thermal. Mr. Holcomb has an extensive asparagus plantation at
Thermal and disposed of the season's crop at advantageous figures.
He will remain here with his family during the winter.

John Hartung, W. F. Botsford. The new bank will be opened in the premises now occupied by the First National, which will move into the Metz building, on the corner of Center and Los Angeles streets.
Another orchard tract has changed hands this week, that of Geo. A. Hunter having been purchased by Mrs. Pearson of Los Angeles for $15,000. The place consists of 35 acres in walnuts and oranges, the former trees having a maturing crop upon them valued at not less than $2,000.
Mrs. Julia Nemetz and Miss Gloyge left yesterday for New Orleans and other points south and east. They go up the Mississippi to St. Louis where they will visit the fair. They will be absent three months.
Elton Gobel, while feeding a job press in this office on Saturday afternoon had the misfortune to have his left hand caught between the type form and platten, almost severing the hand, the cut running diagonally between the base of the fingers and the wrist. The thumb was dislocated and two fingers broken and one of the bones in the hand was fractured. The lad was taken to Dr. Johnston's office where the injuries were dressed. Eighteen stitches had to be taken. The injury is a bad one but the hand will be saved. Monday an examination was made with the X-ray which revealed the fact that the bones are doing nicely and indications pointed to a speedy recovery.
Otto and Gus Strodthoff and sister, Miss Adele Strodthoff, are spending a week in Catalina.
Frank Dyer made a trip to the Landing on Tuesday to enjoy a dip in the briny.

NOTICE OF AGREEMENT TO SELL AND CONVEY REAL PROPERTY DEEDED TO THE STATE FOR DELINQUENT TAXES AND OR ASSESSMENTS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by DON S. MOZLEY as Tax Collector of the County of Orange, State of California, in accordance with the provisions of Division I Part 6 Chapter 8 Article 2 of the Revenue and Taxation Code; That an agreement dated May 28, 1954, has been made by the Board of Supervisors of the said County of Orange with the City of Anaheim for the sale to said City of Anaheim of the following described real property which has been deeded to the State of California for delinquent taxes and or assessments, and which has deeded these said City of Anaheim for delinquent taxes and or assessments;
That said Agreement has been approved by the State Controller of the State of California, and that a copy of said agreement is on file in the office of the said Board of Supervisors;

Michael Neipp and family are at San Juan Hot Springs for a month.
A party of hunters composed of Johnny Hanna, D. Houck, W. B. Hutchinson and W. A. Newberry went to Trabuco canyon Saturday to hunt deer. They camped in the canyon over night and early Sunday morning started for game. They succeeded in getting a five-pronged 100-pound buck, the first one brought into town in five years. They report plenty of water in the canyon creeks than have been in a number of years.
John Rimpau who has been visiting relatives here for the past few weeks returned on Sunday to his home in Yuma.
