No SCHOOL CHILDREN ASSIST IN WATER SEAL DRIVE START Orange County's big annual Easter Seal mailing got another step closer to its March 18th deadline this week when hundreds of school children helped in the envelope addressing. Here, students from Anaheim Union High School, under the supervision of Miss Kathleen McFaul, aided in preparing over 10,000 envelopes, which will be stuffed with Easter Seals by county women's club members and readied for the appeal in March. Seals will be sent to Orange County homes, with contributions going to the Orange County Society for Crippled Children and Adults for their help with children suffering from various crippling ailments. A record contribution is hoped for by the Society with a "record need" anticipated by the children in this area, Mrs. John Bertenia, Easter Seal Chairman, declared. "I am indeed concerned about the fact that more than 300,000 Californians are so severely handicapped that they need rehabilitation services like those offered by the Easter Seal Society. And my concern mounts when I realize that, because of budgetary limitations, the Easter Seal Societies could help only 10,450 of these people last year." Honored at Layette Shower Mrs. Robert Armentrout of 855 N. Pine street, was honored with a layette shower at the home of Mrs. J. L. Drennan, 319 N. Resh street. The evening was devoted to amusing shower games and prizes went to Mmes. Everett Hain, Eugene Magee and Dick Hain. Among the other guests whose names appeared on the novel place cards at refreshment time were Mrs. Truman Benedict of San Clemente, and Anaheim residents Mmes. William Armentrout, George Easton, L. H. Moon, Ed Laster, Ted Naffziger, Charles Stoffel, Wayne Carlson, Duke Clark and Arthur Spears.
