Olive street Anaheim, said her marriage vows with Jeffrey Haines Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hazelton Thompson of Lakeland, Florida, Sunday, Feb. 21. The rites were solemnized at the chapel of the Capilla de San Antonio by the Rev. Frank Butterworth of the White Temple Methodist Church, Anaheim, with a double wedding ceremony. The young couple left later in the day on their honeymoon to Lakeland, Florida, where they will make their home, planning to stop at points of interest enroute, taking about 10 days. The afternoon wedding took place before more than 75 relatives and close friends. The chapel was decorated with white stocks, lark-pur and gladiolus with lighted candles accenting the beauty of the setting. The radiant bride given in marriage by her father, wore a beautifully designed gown of embroidered nylon tulle over taffeta. Fremont P-TA Honors Prexy Mrs. Philip Bird, Fremant PTA president, was presented with an Honorary Life Membership in a surprise ceremony at the February PTA meeting in the school cafeteria. After the candlelight presentation ceremony by Mrs. Forrest Simonton the following past presidents of the organization were presented with corsages: Mmes. F. R. Alden, Leo Fris, W. G. Head., John P. Mary, Jr., Dick Glover, Conan Gray, and A. E. Bourne. Special guest Miss E. Kate Rea was likewise honored. Appointed to the nominating committee to select next year's slate of officers were Mrs. S. E. Loard and Chester A. Fowler, principal, as co-chairman, to be assisted by Mrs. Melvin Hilgenfeld, Miss Thelma Moon and Mrs. Ernest Leonard. Mrs. Arthur Korn was chosen to serve on the Anaheim Council Nominating committee. Program chairman was Mrs. Max Hiltscher baked and decorated a beautiful tiered birthday cake for the Founders' Day meeting. Hostesses were Mrs. Ben Schroeder, room mother chairman, and Mrs. George Howard, Mrs. Fred Murray, Mrs. Thomas Burnell and Mrs. E. D. Fletcher. Founders' Day chairman was Mrs. Ernest Leonard. Outstanding features of their establishment will include 16 new Westinghouse laundromats, one 25-lb. rug machine; three 25-lb. dryers plus dry cleaning and a complete laundry service department. Business hours will be from 8:00 a.m., to 8:00 p.m., daily. Monday through Saturday. The owners will operate on a YOU-WASH or WE-WASH basis. There will be a drive-in service and plenty of free off-street parking available to patrons. "Service is Our Business" is the slogan adopted by Larson and Lemieux with rug service a featured specialty. The public is invited to visit and register for valuable door prizes to be awarded on opening days. Both Larson and Lemieux, now Long Beach residents, plan to move to Anaheim as soon as suitable arrangements are available. Korn Huskers Club Committees Listed Thirty Korn Huskers 4-H club members met recently at the Pletz ranch, 7342 Ball Rd. The following committees were appointed: tree committee to arrange the planting of an evergreen tree in Cypress park during 4-H week; Anita Perry, Pete Vanderpool and Melvin Holland; dairy feeding demonstration, Floyd, Charles and Melvin Holland; window display for 4-H week, Sharon Johnson, Tony Schoneveld, Salty Calder, Clada Pletz, Floyd and Charles Holland. Program chairman Ronny Korn led games during the social hour and refreshments were served by Janice Scott and Janice Brock.
