The altar was banked with pink gladioli and burgandy oak leaves as the Rev. William Penn performed the ceremony by candlelight. The bride, the daughter of Mrs. Mary F. Palmer of Anaheim, was escorted to the altar by Dwight P. Anderson. She was attended by Mrs. William Irl Kennedy as matron of honor and by bridesmaids Mnes. James Zweifel, James Hulsey and Ilene Lish. All wore ballerina length taffeta gowns, the matron of honor in saphire green, and the bridesmaids in dusty rose. Each carried burgandy oak leaves with pink carnations. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Shannon of Gardena, was attended by William Irl Kennedy as best man and usher duties were taken over by John Spence, Steve Owen and Jack Smith. At the organ was William Reynolds who played the couple's favorite selections and accompanied vocalist Joe Bellesi. The lovely church decorations were repeated at the reception which followed the nuptial rites in the Woman's Clubhouse of Gardena. Centering the bride's table Homemakers Study Rugs at Meeting The Orangethorpe Homemakers studied about 80 rug samples brought to its November meeting by Home Advisor Marlan Prentiss and noted resiliency, price, appearance and ease of cleaning. After a discussion, Vangella Buena Park Hosts District PTA Meet When the 4th District Parent-Teacher Association November meeting was held in the Buena Park Congregational church Mrs. John J.
