ANAHEIM NEEDS—An alternate truck route through town. As it is, heavy laden trucks roar down the Main Drag. Center st. is already congested and the trucks might easily be routed. Why aren't they? MERRY-GO-ROUND — John Greggory, Fullerton's retired police chief, is right in the thick of it now. He's a highly successful vote getter as a campaign manager... Wally Buiteel will make a mighty good addition to the GOP county central committee. He was reared in Anaheim—always a Republican stronghold... Sympathize with Frank Rospaw, the Palcentia publisher. Newspapermen with political aspirations never get to firstbase hereabouts at least. The late Lotus Louden and Jimmy Heffron were disappointed politically. Anyhoo, the sage of Palcentia is to be congratulated for turning out one of the nicest political broadsides it's been our pleasure to read in years. Placentia and the whole GOP party can be proud of a guy like that! DECISION—Altnough you may not realize it, that Supreme Court decision overriding Little Old Harry's claim to inherent powers actually preserved your freedom. Had the court upheld the president, anything could have happened in the name of an emergency. And the voters can congratulate themselves on making a good choice. Shea is good choice. Supervisor Ralph McFadden, a former Anaheim city official who is vitally interested in Northern Orange county—all of it—likewise is to be congratulated. But his vote was more than a victory at the polls. It was his constituents' endorsement of his tireless efforts in their behalf. A vote at election time can also be a thank you gesture on the part of the voter in behalf of an official who has done his job. Ralph did that. And a little more... And LeRoy Lyon, Jr., who is just starting his political career also must go bouquets. His father once served as supervisor from this district. To these Anaheimers the old Gazetteer says: "Congratulation. Good luck. And God be with you." NITECCAPSULE — A fellow's purse-onality has a lot to do with winning friends and influencing people.
