Double ring nuptials were read by the Rev. Frank Butterworth at White Temple Methodist church. Baskets of white flowers and green palms were illuminated by candles, lighted before the service by Jay Meade.
The pretty bride was given in marriage by her father. A fitted satin bodice with long face sleeves accented the fullness of her skirt and a matching satin and tie cap held her fingertip veil. In her bouquet were stephanotis, white carnations and two large white orchids.

If You Drive! Don't Drink
Although the decorations and luncheon menu were traditional of old Ireland, it was Mexico that furnished the entertaining program topic at yesterday afternoon's meeting of Anaheim Ebell club.
The clubhouse was filled to capacity for the appearance of Dana and Ginger Laimo, Santa Ana adventurer, whose quest for the lost city of the Mayas has provided one of the most fascinating adventure stories ever to hit the best seller hit.
Of particular interest to the feminine audience was the efficient and domestic manner in which Ginger set up housekeeping in each of the rugged jungle campsites. In a specially outfitted jeep, the Lambs carried utensils, dishes, stove, bed, table, chairs, and other household items.
All of the equipment was stored compactly and most of the articles served a dual purpose. In approximately 10 minutes the small clearing were turned into a combination bedroom, dining room and kitchen.
Apart from presenting a tale on adventuring the Lambs included in their travel films shots of the work habits of giant ant colonies. Close ups showed the insects, each equipped for a special task, building leaf roads, feeding and caring for other insects from whom they obtain food, and working in the colony!
In the lost city, reached and months of hardship, they photographed the remains of the client culture of the Mayas, stroved by Cortez during the quest of Mexico.
A somewhat tamer but equally interesting report on Moda Mexico was presented by Mr. Vernon Colmingham, South District Drama chairman from Huntington Beach, who was luncheon speaker. She discussed a recent one month trip through the country, covering most of the major cities as well as outlying sorts. Mrs. W. H. Whiteman president, introduced Mrs. Vernon, and Dana and Ginger Laimo were introduced by Mrs. J. Thompson, first vice president and program chairman.
In business announcement was made of the Humble Sale to be held April 17 and 18 with members requested to bring article to the general section meetings.
New members introduced were Mrs. Lee Yocum, Mrs. G. J. Zimmer, Mrs. Vearl Royer, Mrs. Preston Turner and Mrs. P. K. Callaway. Mrs. Fred Edwards was reinstated.
Mrs. Charles Bush, federation chairman, reported on the meeting Feb. 8 in Placentia.
Appointed to the nominating committee were Mrs. Florence Spencer, Mrs. Olive Lear, Mrs J Ben Kaulbars, Mrs. Charles Hambeen and Mrs. Charles Mann.
In the art corner was a collection of handmade lace and netting, the work of Mrs. Saulsbery, which were discussed by art chairman, Mrs. Mable Ives. Mrs Marion Pickel and Mrs Carl Palm were luncheon chairmen and Mrs John Mary and Mrs Norman Lombard, decorations.

A widow of A. E. Schumacher, has taken over his position in the store and has charge of the second floor merchandise.
Grand Old Man of the store is Oscar Renner, 74, Who this year marks his 60th year as a department store merchant. He first started working in the store which was to become the SQR store in 1892. A half-hour of chatting with him will elicit more information about Anaheim and its progress through the 20th century than can be found in all the books of the library.
He recalls that a department store then carried no ready-to-wear items. Women bought yardage, then went home to make their own clothes, and household furnishings, including curtains, rugs, table cloths and comforters.
Women didn't work in stores then in Anaheim and typewriters hadn't arrived yet. Working conditions would chill the blood of a present-day clerk: More hours were 7 a.m., to 8:30 and 9:30 p.m., and the store stayed open half-time victims to the 1929 according to Renner.

OPS to Relieve Merchants of Some Paper Work
A move to relieve retail merchants of certain "paper work" has been announced by the Office of Price Stabilization.
William C. Moeser, director of the San Diego district OPS, said merchants are now excused from reporting current initial percentage markups or gross margin higher than those for the base period.
The price agency is employing other methods, such as use of reliable trade sources, to obtain information which would be contained in the current reports. Moeser explained.
The change is contained in Amendment 15 to Ceiling Price Regulation 7 and is effective today.
