Attend Local Churches
Christian Science
How death may be "swallowed up in victory" as promised in the Scriptures is considered in the Sunday Bible lesson on "Probation after Death" in all Christian science churches. The Golden Text is from John (5:25) and reads, "The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live."
In a Bible passage Isalah spoke prophetically of man's freedom from sorrow and death when he wrote, "The Lord ... will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vall that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it" (25:6-8).
In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy says (pp. 291, 232), "Universal salvation rests on progression and probation, and is unattainable without them." "It is only when the so-called pleasures
White Temple
The thrilling story of the excavations of buried cities of the Bible will be recountered at the 7 p.m. Sunday evening service at White Temple Methodist church by Rev. Wesley Havermale, Episcopal minister from Santa Ana who has traveled widely in the Holy Land and has accompanied the archaeologists in their research. He will describe the methods by which the age of artifacts is determined, and will bring along a valuable exhibit of curios illustrating the life and customs of both Old Testament and New Testament days. His story is told with warm human interest and avoiding scientific terminology, yet making crystal clear the processes by which highly trained archaeologists have cast a flood of new light upon the meanings of the Bible.
Following the evening service, he will be the guest of the young adult "P.M. Club" at the parsonage.
In the morning service at 10:50 a.m., Rev. Frank E. Butterworth will preach on the theme, "Censoring the Good News," continuing

ADVERTISERS—It pays to advertise! That's not just an advertising slogan. It is a fact. Louis Danz, the cultured intellectual who operates a music establishment, uses want ads effectively.
When a resident of Anaheim, Danz turned out several books. He's still hammering the typewriter.
By the same token Burr Shafer who also peddles musical instruments, uses the "little salesmen" — want ads — effectively. Shafer is one of America's best known magazine cartoonists. He has several books on the best seller lists, 'boot. There's nothing funny about it, these men know the value of advertising... So does Herb Haugh who is associated with Ralph Maas...
