MacDonald will ask the government to buy at least two Liberty ships from the United States, to help to bring coal from India to Victoria. McDonald said that the recent Victorian mission to India to buy coal showed that there was plenty available, but the problem was to get ships to bring it to Australia. If these ships were available, Victoria could get 1,000,000 tons of coal a year from India. TEXAN SHAMES TEXAS RANGOON (UP) — You wouldn't expect a Texan to steer away from a cow but that's what ECA's Lexter E. Blaschke did. Blaschke, a malariologist, was taking his mind off business on quiet afternoon at the Rangoo Zoo. He turned around on hearing a kind of snorting and saw charging cow. The Texan took one look at the cow and took off—fast. Nearby Burmese joining the chase caught the cow by the tail while Blaschke made his getaway. The first minor league to introduce runs-batted-in among the official averages was the Wester League in 1911. 42. Size 14 requires 3% yard of 35-inch fabric.
