California Taxpayers' association reported today. Total levy for 1950-51 was $21,159,447. Ten years ago, in 1941-42, the property tax dollar in the county was divided 42 cents for school districts, 25 cents for general county purposes, 24 cents for the cities, and nine cents for special districts. Total property tax levy in 1941-42 in the county was $6,-945,051. Statewide, the $798,241,231 property tax bill in California for 1950-51 was divided 39 per cent for school districts, 38 per cent for general county purposes, 46 per cent for cities, and seven per cent for special districts. For 1941-42, the statewide $321,734,456 property tax bill was divided 33 per cent for school districts, 39 per cent for general county purposes, 21 per cent for cities, and seven per cent for special districts.
