HOT DOGS—Organized Play Day for 255 second and third grade Brownies led by Senior Scouts who held Saturday at La Palma Park. Refreshments of hot dogs and punch were enjoyed and story telling was led by Mrs. Spielman, Brownie leader. Activities were planned by the committee, back right: Mrs. M. B. Pixie Players made their debut Friday evening in the clever presentation of Robin Wood's Enchanted Spring. An enthusiastic audience crowded Benjamin Franklin school auditorium for the performance, presented under the sponsorship of Anaheim Recreation department. Shown is a ballet scene, one of the highlights of the evening. Pixie Players Win Acclaim on First Appearance Congratulations were in order for the Pixie Players, children's theater group of the city recreation department, following their talented presentation of Robin Wood's Enchanted Spring, Friday evening. The young thespians, under the direction of Miss Pat Smithan, opened the program with a parade of talent featuring Fuck the Pixie, Joelyn Wise; cap dance, Carol Jacoos and Virginia Hiscrodt; skit, James Dickey and Robert Dickey; acornian soo, Mike Clements; skit, Pamela Stirat and Linda Agren; piano solo, Paul Winters; poem, Sleepy Dawson and Karen Dawson, dance, Carol Jacoos; and accompanist, Caroline Cone. Included in the play cast were Karen Dawson, Virginia Sullivan, Stephany Dawson, Marcia Kochler, James Dickey, Clinton Stark. Marion Robertson Feted at Shower Miss Marion Robertson was honored at a bridal shower Friday night at the home of Mrs. Ray Dixon, 536 S. Indiana st., one of the four co-hostesses. Other hostesses were Mrs. George Halbert, Mrs. James Dixon, both of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Wallace Doty. Pastel spring flowers and miniature brides lent an appropriate background for the bridal games and refreshments served in the early part of the evening. Later Miss Robertson opened her many lovely gifts destined for her future home. Attending the affair were Mrs. Art Barchard, Mrs. Durl Bonner, Mrs. Effie Carter, Mrs. C. E. Brown, Mrs. W. P. Boutcher, Mrs. J. E. Hiatt, Miss Selma Ledbetter of Fullerton, Mrs. Ethel Molcher, Mrs. W. L. Sanders, Mrs. Reed Dixon, Mrs. E. M. West, Mrs. R. L. Billy Ter Beest, 11, was honored by a birthday party given by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Deest, 8736 La Salle street, press. Remland, the bride's father, caine here from Nebraska in 1881 and he and Mrs. Remland were married in the Remland Pioneer home on Lincoln ave. 34 years ago. The bride attended Anaheim high school and beauty college and operates a beauty salon in Stanton. The bridegroom is with Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach.
