Mrs. Frank Kellogg Named to Head Women's Advisory Board of YMCA The Women's Advisory Board met in the home of Mrs. A. H. Kircliman on Friday morning. Election of officers was held and Mrs. Frank Kellogg was appointed president; Mrs. Harry G. Nutt, vice-president; Mrs. George Kohlenberger, secretary; Mrs. Alice Schmid, treasurer and Mrs. A. J. Casebeer, devotional chairman. Plans were made for an outdoor Reunion Tea to be given May 24 in the Frank Kellogg home. All former board members, leaders and other women who have been interested in the YMCA work in the past are invited. Mrs. Nan Moore, Girls' Work Secretary, reported on the Tri-Hi-Y Club activities. A Mother-Daughter tea is planned for Tuesday evening, May 8, in the Paul Demaree home. Mrs. Dayton Smith presided at the meeting. Other members present included Mrs. A. J. Casebeer, Mrs. Frank Kellogg, Mrs. Wm. Lewellyn, Mrs. Harry G. Nutt, Mrs. C. L. Spencer, Mrs. Tommy Thomason, Mrs. Alice Schmid, Mrs. George Kohlenberger, Mrs. Everett Cone, Mrs. A. H. Kirchman and Mrs. Harwood Larson. Open House at Orangethorpe Modical Auxiliary Entertains at Coast Club Dance Members of the Woman's Auxiliary to the Orange County Medical Association entertained their husbands at a dinner dance recently at the Pacific Coast Club in Long Beach. The dining room of the club was beautifully decorated in a carnival atmosphere, with streamers and balloons and each table had a centerpiece of masks and confetti. A number of parties preceded the dance and about thirty couples attended. Among those attending were Drs. and Mrs. Samuel Gendel, Emmett Pettis, Arthur Alne, Harold Galbraith, and Arthur Ferree of Fullerton; Drs. and Mrs. John Wilcox and Wm. Calvy of Anaheim; Dr. and Mrs. Carl Paul of Orange; Dr. and Mrs. L. D. Spencer of Brea; Drs. and Mrs. Henry Hall, A. G. Hughes, and L. G. Nelson of Costa Mesa; Dr. and Mrs. Barney Coleman of Tustin; Dr. and Mrs. Milton Damron of Cypress; Dr. and Mrs. Bernard Mason of Huntington Beach; Dr. and Mrs. A. H. Wightman of Laguna Beach; and Drs. and Mrs. Jos Tirlco, Thomas B. Clark, John Davis, John Montanus, Clarke Engleman, Carl Pearlman, John F. Renshaw, Local Club Brings Cheer to Sick An anniversary pot-luck dinner was enjoyed by members of Friendship Circle, an organization of nine women united in good works for the sick and utunate, when they met at the house of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mitchell in Garden Grove. Mrs. Audrey Royer, president presented the Rev. Albert Brackenck of Anaheim with a gift. The occasion commemorated ril anniversaries for club members Mr. and Myrre Royer, Joy Jennings, Rev. and Mrs. H.Couch, Mrs. Emma Pavel and Mrs. Clarence Mitchell. A exchange was conducted. The society lists among its sponsibilities, gifts for hospital children and visits to patient local sanitariums and hospitals. Flower Mission Hears Book Review Gathering Thursday after at the home of Mrs. H.B.Peerson on N.Lemon st., members of Flower Mission of the Presbyterian Church of Anaheim Open House at Orangethorpe A large number of parents and friends attended the Orangethorpe P-TA Flower and Hobby show and Spanish dinner, Friday night, April 27. There were a number of interesting hobbies displayed by parents and children. Ribbons were given for the best flower arrangements, species and potted plants. The school also had open house and the teachers were present when parents visited the classrooms and inspected the children's work. The Spanish dinner served from 5 to 7 p.m. was a great success with 111 adults and 90 children served. Proceeds from the dinner will go toward buying playground equipment for the school. In charge of the dinner was Mrs. Leonard Cheatum, hospitality chairman. Helping were: Mrs. William Rhodes, Mrs. Irving Brownlee, Mrs. Vernon Thompson, Mrs. Ralph Sandberg, Mrs. Arthur Jones, Mrs. W. D. Cronk, Mrs. Leslie Batchman, Mrs. Jack Lindsey, Mrs. William Jaberg, Mrs. J. R. Garrish, Mrs. Richard Brace, Mrs. Anthony Ranker and Mrs. Carroll Bland. Day Camp training for leaders continues at Fullerton Scout House, with dances, songs, knots and lashing being practiced May 8th at 9:30 for Brownies and May 10 for Intermediates. Plans for overnight, May 15, Brownies, May 17 Intermediates, will be discussed. Last session May 22, Brownies and May 24 Intermediates will be a preplanning session for organizing and formulating unit activities for one week of day camp. EDUCATION MEETING The Orange County Association for Childhood Education will hold its annual banquet May 8, 6:30 p.m., at the Bradford ave., school cafeteria, N. Bradford ave., Placentia. Mrs. Afton Nance, consultant, elementary education, California State Department of Education, will be the principal speaker. Music for the dinner meeting will be furnished by the Fullerton Union High school "Eight Men of Song," under the direction of George Burt. VICTOR G. A delightful tea hour followed the business meeting and prologue with Mrs. William Schurler, Mrs. Rose Wood, Mrs. Markle, Mrs. Anna Sanford, Mrs. Hillary as co-hostesses. Vision Diagnostic Clinic Is Project Of Santa Ana NDOC The Santa Ana No. 235, N parlor's three year project, the vision Diagnostic Clinic was in rated on April 26. Thirty-five children from all Orange schools were examined for effects, 27 were found to require their care and treatment. In order to raise money for clinic, a benefit fund breakfast be held on Saturday, May 12 at 11 a.m., at Borchard's M parking lot, 621 S. Main st., Ana. Prizes donated by local chants and food baskets do by the food processors and w salers will be awarded to these ones in attendance. The committee members mailed 500 letters announcing clinic and benefit fund brevet to all fraternal, labor, service parent-Teachers organization Orange county.
