He said he has had excellent support and co-operation from those who have worked up the drive, as well as from the community as a whole. Joe R. Thompson, recruitment chairman for the Blood Program, announced the mobile unit would be at Ebell clubhouse on May 25, and urged a good response. The need for blood is greater than ever, since large shipments must be made overseas. Home service reported 38 cases open during the month, 11 of which were new and 2 reopened. Service was given in 17 cases. 14 service personnel and three veterans. There were 45 office callers and 10 home calls were made. Financial assistance was given to three servicemen or their families.
