Buena Park Church Announces Young Peoples Rally
A young people's rally calculated to draw visitors from all over southern and central California to the Buena Park Bible Church was announced yesterday by Young People's president C. A. Nickle Jr. The event will take place October 28 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Seventh and Stanton church.
The speakers grace the program. All leaving soon for missionary work in Africa, they are Miss Dorothy Beard, Miss Irene Ferrel and Ms Bessie Grings. Special music will augment the speeches.
M. H. Reynolds, pastor of the American council church, expects between 150 and 200 people to attend the meeting. Delegates from Militant Fundamental Churches are definitely scheduled to attend. All others are cordially invited.

ELKINS, W. Va.—(AP) — Davis and Elkins College here is presenting a forum in football theory to its women students. D & E Director of Athletics Press Marovich decided that the feminine side of the college was badly misinformed on the game.
So the coach of the school's football team, Ace Federovitch, was called in to give a series of lessons on grid theory to the gals. A better-informed weaker sex, says Federovitch, will help spirit and cheering and will enable the women to enjoy the game more.

Pie Contest Ends Next Monday
The Orange County-wide Pie and Cake Baking Contest sponsored by Pillsbury Mills will come to a close this Monday, October 23. Entry blanks should be postmarked not later than the above date and can be obtained at any Orange County Market or Philco Dealer.
Chairman Allan LaMont says that entries are coming in quite regularly.
Judging and prize awards will be made on the following three points, taste, texture and appearance. You may enter a pie in any of the three divisions, solid, cream and original. The cake divisions are light, dark and original. Along with the Philco Cooking School on Ladies' Day, Friday, October 27th in the main exhibit tent at La Palma park, there will be a direct broadcast of ABC's "Surprise Package" starring Jay Stewart.
There will be numerous door prizes and a surprise for every lady or gentleman who attends this afternoon of fun and frolic.
Seating capacity has been arranged for 500 people so first come first served.
