For Results, Quick A Page 7 Anaheim Gazette, Friday, Sept. 8, 1950 Fullerton Sets Courses in Sales Personality A new series on the Sales Personality will be inaugurated in Fullerton starting September 19, by the State Bureau of Business Education in cooperation with the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce and the Adult Evening School, it was announced today by Logan Wheatley, director of Adult Education. There is no enrollment fee. Jean Paul Peutet, field coordinator with the State Department of Education, will conduct the meetings which will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in room 317 on the junior college campus each Tuesday evening, beginning September 19 and ending October 10. All salespeople in the community and others who plan to enter the sales field are urged to take advantage of the conferences, which will feature active group participation and open discussions. Motion pictures involving the sales personality in action will be shown. A voice recorder will be used and group members who wish may test their voices. In calling attention to the series, Logan Wheatley declined that sales psychologists have found that more salespeople lost their jobs because of a deficient personality than for any other cause. Helping people in this field to weed out undesirable personality traits and substitute those that help them get along with customers and fellow workers, is the aim of the conferences. Farm Center Meets Tuesday Entertainment, a potluck dinner, and two reports are scheduled for next Tuesday's meeting of the Anaheim farm center. The meeting will be in the Anaheim High school cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. Ross Shafer, Tustin, will be the evening's principal speaker, talking for 30 minutes on the water situation in an attempt to clear up any problems that may still exist for voters. A. J. Schutte will also deliver the directors' report. Entertainment will be provided by The Mysterious Mr. Mower, a slight of hand artist.
