School Accepts Summer Session Applications
Applications for admission to the summer session of classes at Los Angeles-Orange County State College may now be made, it was announced Monday by Dr. Hugh S. Brown, Dean of Administration.
Summer session classes, which will be conducted on the campus at 5401 East Anaheim street, will begin June 19 and continue for six weeks, until July 28. Students may, in this session, earn a maximum of six semester units of credit.
Courses offered in the summer session are those considered of greatest value to those working for teaching credentials, and for general improvement of their professional status as teachers. Tuition for the full six-unit schedule is $36.00.
Applications already made by students now enrolled indicate a great demand for the summer session, Dean Brown said. He advised those planning to attend to make application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment, since building facilities force limiting of enrollment.
ROTARIANS HEAR "SPAIN TODAY"
Professor Elmo Shaver of Orange Coast college addressed the Rotary club at their Monday luncheon. Professor Shaver spoke on his travels through Spain and Portugal last summer telling his impressions of the countryside and the cities. The title of his talk was "Spain Today." Several visiting Rotarians from the other Orange county clubs also enjoyed the talk.
