Three Injured In Auto Crash Three persons were in Anaheim Community hospital, one with major injuries, according to the California highway patrol, as the result of an automobile crash at Orangethorpe and Grand avenues, Buena Park, at 12:30 p.m. Monday. Charles E. Kirby, 56, of Mountain Center, an employee of River-side county, was most seriously injured, lesser injuries being suffered by his wife, Mrs. Bertha Kirby, 52, and John Sonjer, 20, of Boy River, Minn., passenger in a car driven by Patrick V. Geary, 20, of Federal Dam, Minn. Kirby was driving west on Orangethorpe and Geary was traveling north on grand when the crash took place. Two other motorists were slightly hurt in a crash at 5:15 p.m. Monday, the highway patrol reported, when cars driven by Richard F. Moore, 22, 7911 Emery, Buena Park, and Edward J. Ross, 65, of South Gate, collided at 101 and Imperial highways, between Fullerton and La Habra. Injured but not hospitalized were Moore and Mrs. Gertrude Ross, of South Gate. 4% of State on Relief in October Sacramento, (WNS)—A total of 434,360 persons in California, or better than four percent of the total population, were on relief of some type during the month of October, according to a report issued by the state department of social welfare. The department supervised the payment of $25,036,811 to this group, according to the report. Of the total amount paid, the state's share of the cost was 54 percent while the federal government and the counties bore 34.1 and 11.9 percent of the cost respectively.
