CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
The Golden Text for the Sunday Lesson-Sermon on "Matter" in all branches of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, is from the Psalms:
"Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob."
In a Bible citation the Psalmist says, "O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me . . . Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me."
"The realm of the real is Spirit," writes Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." She adds, "In Spirit there is no matter, even as in Truth there is no error, and in good no evil." "That matter is substantial or has life and sensation, is one of the false beliefs of mortals, and exists only in a supposititious mortal consciousness. Hence, as we approach Spirit and Truth, we lose the consciousness of matter."

Estimates of grapefruit groves ih bearing in California this year are 12,800 acres, figures from MOD show. Bearing acreage of California grapefruit last year was 13,200.
