With aims and purposes parallel with those of the Anaheim Izaak Walton league, which boasts approximately 300 members, the women's group hopes to obtain a charter before long and become an independent chapter. Randolph Signed For 'Heiress' Lead At Holiday Stage Holiday Stage, summer theatre at Tustin, scooped the California straw hat circuit this week when producers Mennes and Turney signed Broadway luminary Donald Randolph to play the lead in the first west coast stock production of "The Heiress." The hit play is scheduled to open next week after the run of the current popular attraction, "Susan and God," starring Mary Finney. Randolph was Gertrude Lawrence's leading man in "Lady in the Dark" and headed the cast of the original "Angel Street." His role as Horatio in Maurice Evans' full-length "Hamlet" was hailed as a brilliant piece of theatre. He was with Mr. Evans' renowned Shakespearean company for three years. Donald Randolph was the seventh New York actor to play Clarence Day, Sr., in the record-breaking Broadway run of "Life with Father." Return from Huge Red Cross Convention Mrs. Leo Friis, chairman of Anaheim chapter of the American Red Cross, and three other delegates of this area, returned Tuesday night from the International Red Cross convention held June 25-30 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Traveling from this area by train with Mrs. Friis were Mrs. Redman of Santa Ana, Mrs. W. J. Frank of Fullerton and Mary Stanley, of Fullerton, co-ed Junior Red Cross delegate for Orange county. Foreign delegates among the 5,000 representatives at the convention spoke at a special international luncheon. The conclave sessions were held in the huge Atlantic City auditorium on the boardwalk of the metropolis. Audio - visual demonstrations were used to show every phase of Red Cross work underway and accomplished during the past year. Motion pictures with sound and tableaux, pageants and forums... Roehm, 912 North Philadelphia street, Anaheim, and their son Richard, Jr., left yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon for Bozeman, Montana, where they will make their home. The high altitude of their new address, 4,800 feet, is expected to speed Mr. Roehm's recovery from a heart attack. He formerly was assistant manager of USIC. Mrs. Roehm will join the Montana State college faculty, instructing foods and nutrition courses beginning this fall. The couple's son will enroll as a freshman in the high school at Bozeman. Enroute to their new home, the family will visit Mr. Boehm's brother in Great Falls, Montana. Active in Anaheim's Parent-Teacher association, Mrs. Boehm also participated in other social and civic organizations.
