Approximately 150 guests witnessed the ceremony and attended the reception which was held following the nuptials in the garden of the bride's home on Cerritos avenue. The well known Anaheim woman disclosed that new fashion trends call for shorter and very full skirts and many creations of nylon. Traveling on the Santa Fe Super Chief, she left June 9 for the eastern metropolis and, upon her arrival, resided at the Gotham hotel. "Skirts for the coming season will be 13 inches from the floor and extravagantly full," said Miss Millerick who attended French and other foreign reviews as well as those of leading American manufacturing houses in New York. She also enjoyed several press breakfasts. "Coats will be varied in design with some tight fitting, some loose and others in the smart swing styles," she added. Remarking on the panorama of new and exciting colors and dramatic or blended tones thereof, she stated that nylon is becoming highly popular as the material for many different types of wearing apparel. The Rachel Crothers comedy is a tale of a woman (Susan) who upon returning from a trip abroad, astounds her friends and husband with her conversion to Lady Wiggum's 'new Movement.' Although at best a pseudo-religious group, still with Susan as America's most ardent disciple, its message manages to give all concerned guilty consciences of the acute variety. Susan's revival speeches break up the budding romance of Irene (Maurine Cookson) and Michael (John Dutra), split the marital bliss of Lenora (Ina Claire Chatterton) and Hutchins (John Alvin); cause Barrie to take the oath and send Clyde (Victor Richards), the secret lover of Lenora, home with his tail between his legs. Eve Halpern turns in an admirable performance as the not-wanted Blossom, daughter of Susan and Barrie. Her characterization of the girl in the awkward age of braces and horn-rimmed glasses couldn't be better. 'Susan and God' which closes Saturday with matinee and evening performances is under the capable direction of E. Alyn Warren. —BOB FUNSETH.
