Collins, Stone Shine in "Two Adams for Eve" Dorothy Stone and Charles Collins have brought the curtain up on the 1949 Holdiay Stage summer stock season with a brand new musical comedy, "Two Adams for Eve." It's a light and gay musical piece with Dorothy Stone playing the part of Eve Stafford who mistakes Charles Collins for her husband Wendel. Collins as Jeff Hayden is all she hoped hubby Wendel would be. Wendel (Collins with a mustache) makes a belated appearance. Choir practice has been held each Sunday evening for the past several weeks. Inspiring the song... It's a light and gay musical piece with Dorothy Stone playing the part of Eve Stafford who mistakes Charles Collins for her husband Wendel. Collins as Jeff Hayden is all she hoped hubby Wendel would be. Wendel (Collins with a mustache) makes a belated appearance in the final act and conveniently exits with Jeff's (Collins without the mustache) ex-mistress Susie. The famed Broadway dancing team share the spotlight with Blanche Boyd who capably performs as the imbibing, ex-Follies girl, Mrs. Dunninger. Her rendition of "Way Back When" brought the house down. Stone and Collins shine in their interpretation of the great American institution, the picnic, complete with streams to cross, ants in their pants and a thunder-shower. "Two Adams for Eve" completes its run with a 2:30 p.m. matinee and 8:30 p.m. performances on Saturday. Second show of the season will be "The Taming of the Shrew"—revised somewhat, we are told, from the Shakespeare original. —BOB FUNSETH.
