Create Industrial Department
“Steps were taken during the year to create a well equipped Industrial Department. 1. An economic fact sheet was prepared as a guide to industrial prospects. 2. A plan of circularizing prospective industrialists was recommended but the project failed for lack of funds.
Meets with Fullerton
“The Committee met on occasions with members of the Industrial Committee of Fullerton Chamber of Commerce and agreed to the following essential steps to an industrialization of the entire rea between the two cities along the Union Pacific and Santa Fe rights-of-way. Upon receipt of the special license fee, the Division will mail a permit with complete hunting instructions.
Applications will not be accepted from anyone under the age of 16, or those who have received an antelope permit at any time during the last ten years. Either husband or wife, but not both, may apply.
Bob Albin was on the mound for the Optimists, allowing one hit in five innings, walking three and striking out six. Johnson, the losing pitcher gave up four hits and struck out six.
The Optimists are made up of players no longer eligible for American Legion play—all being over 17 years of age.
The game was the first of a doubleheader; the second game was between Vic Ruedy's American Legion nine and the Fullerton legion teams.

"During the year your Industrial Department serviced several industrial prospects, although the number has declined.
Locate New Industries
"Those located were the Anaheim Furniture Manufacturing Company and the Foster Sand and Gravel Company, our service extending to the point of negotiation for and the sale of the property in both cases.
In addition special effort was made to settle Emil Mittman's new California Hosiery Company in Anaheim.
Your Industrial Committee arranged the meeting for Industrial Day during Civic Progress Week and collaborated with the Kwikset Locks, Inc., in their Grand Opening to the public.
"The Citrus By-Products industry has shown new life this season with the strengthening of the market. The Winckler Smith Company, bankrupt, is now refinanced and in operation. The Silzle Corporation is making every effort to do the same. This leaves the Calton Plant which is the only one to be completely out of operation, and there are rumors to the effect that this may also be reinstalled as a citrus by-products plant."
Makes Recommendations

Makes Recommendations
"Your committee recommends the following:
1. Establish the Industrial Division of the Chamber as the major project providing it with the equipment essential to solicitation of and the proper servicing of prospects. This should include essential literature, well chosen advertisement and funds for traveling expenses.
2. That in order to secure necessary funds for this extended operation that a fund raising project should be established if regular budget is insufficient.
3. Continue to work harmoniously with the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce in industrial matters.
4. Continue support for zoning of the county.
5. Installing our entire membership with quering all outside business contacts concerning Anaheim as a location for their firm's new plant.
6. Keep closer working relationship with presently located industries so as to keep them satisfied with Anaheim. (Signed) Respectfully, Industrial Development Committee: R. J. Roseberg, chairman; Bill Fackiner, L. L. Jones, H. H. Stabbert, A. Schoepe, Chas. A. Pearson, O. E. Hanson, Ray Schneider, Oscar Gibbs."
