CHRISTIAN SCIENCE "Christian Science" will be the Sunday Lesson-Sermon subject in all branches of the Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston. The Golden Text from Isaiah, reads, "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price." In his Gospel John writes, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God ... In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." Jesus says, "If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever." In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy writes: "Christian Science is dawning upon a material age. The great spiritual facts of being, like rays of light, shine in the darkness, though the darkness, comprehending them not, may deny their reality." "Science is an emanation of divine Mind, and is alone able to interpret God aright ... It is a divine utterance—the Comforter which leadeth into all truth." DECATUR COUNTY, IOWA, PICNIC SET The twenty-ninth annual picnic of the Decatur county, Iowa, Association will be held this Sunday, June 26, from 10 to 4 o'clock at MacArthur Park, formerly Westlake Park, in Los Angeles. To worship God is a serious undertaking and the supreme factor in it is our recognition of the Will of God. It may be variously described, but in essence it means for us the recognition in life of a great purpose, greater than our lives, to which we yield ourselves. To worship God is a serious undertaking and the supreme factor in it is our recognition of the Will of God. It may be variously described, but in essence it means for us the recognition in life of a great purpose, greater than our lives, to which we yield ourselves. Worship is not a kind of spiritual exercise in which we tease God to do what we want done, but a spiritual experience in which we say, "Thy Will Be Done." This does not mean passive submission so much as it means active cooperation with the Will of God. The worship service is a great help to know the will of God and to learn the necessary cooperation with Him. Why not accept the invitation and COME TO CHURCH NEXT SUNDAY? —Rev. D. Carl Yoder. Our Preacher Says A Last Call At Princeton, N. J., Aaron Burr came to the president of the university and said, "Mr. President, I have made up my mind to consider the claims of Christ. Now, Mr. President, what would you do?" And the old president of the university gave him this advice: he said, "Burr, if I were you, I would wait until the excitement of the revival is subsided, and then I would think it out carefully." Aaron Burr bowed his head a moment, and then he said, "Mr. President, that is exactly what I will do." Never again did he desire to be a Christian, and he died Christless. DO YOU KNOW ... 1.
