IS NOW IN THE GRADES They are in the elementary schools of Anaheim, Cypress, Centralia, Magnolia, Savanna, Katella, St. Boniface and the Lutheran School. There are 4,277 of them. By September, 1950, just 16 months from now, additional classrooms must be provided. By September, 1952, the enrollment will be up 50%. By September, 1956, the enrollment will be doubled: The Board of Trustees of A.U.H.S. has studied this problem carefully and scientifically. They are suggesting an admittedly wise pay-as-you-go policy. They want to save the taxpayers of the district money. They want to eliminate costly bond issues and interest payments. The proposal is that the present tax rate of $1.00 per each $100.00 of assessed valuation shall be maintained for a period of five years. This economical plan will assure adequate facilities for maintaining high school educational advantages for all our boys and girls. This is not the time to hesitate. Action will assure economy. Abolish 'Lost' Angling License Renewal Privilege Sacramento, (WNS)—The assembly has approved legislation that would abolish the privilege California hunters and anglers have of reinstating a lost license for a 50 cent affidavit fee. Present law allows those who have lost a license to simply state the circumstances surrounding the loss and pay the required fee. Under provisions of a bill sponsored by assemblyman Thomas Erwin, Puente, hunters and anglers may acquire another license but must pay the full fee. Erwin said his bill is endorsed by the State Fish and Game commission. According to Erwin, approximately 6,000 affidavits were received during the past year. He said it is impossible to check all such statements of loss and some sportsmen have been using the affidavit system as a cheap method of acquiring a license.
