Three years previous to 1920 the Anoranco was but a mimeographed page. Not until 1920 did the Anoranco appear as a printed matter. The Anoranco's birthday marks something that has virtually grown up with the school itself. When one says "grown up with the school" he probably does not fully realize the truth of the statement, for the Anoranco has indeed "grown up" not only in size, but in many other ways. The progress of the Anoranco is remarkable. The first published Anoroco appeared on March 19, 1920. It was only 10 inches high and four columns wide. But by 1925, just five years after its birth as a printed newspaper, without the name Anoroco printed across the top of the front page one could never tell that it was he same newspaper. The Anoroco is now and will remain so long as he school exists, a part of every student's happy and cherished memories of his high school years. It has also been a cherished memory of those who worked through the ups and downs of meeting deadlines and the "fun" they had when they saw their publication each week. Nominate Senior Class Speaker Nominations for the senior class speaker were held at the senior class meeting in the high school auditorium, March 15. Those nominated for class speaker were Ralph Jung, Jack Johannes, Terry Kilduff, Richard Hoffmann, Dolores Sehr, and Cornell Gray. The question of wearing caps and gowns at the Baccalaureate exercises was also brought up at this meeting. Many seniors want to wear their graduation attire, while many others want to wear caps and gowns. Mr. Rickel, senior class instructor and advisor, explained to the seniors at the meeting the procedure of ordering commencement announcements. Commencement announcements will be ordered during the week of April 4. "Wuthering Heights," a drama of three acts, centers around two houses, "Wuthering Heights," and "The Grange." This will be the hardest play yet attempted by the drama department and will provide a real challenge to the senior drama class." states Mrs. John Glazier, head of the drama department at AU. "Wuthering Heights" was selected by a vote of the drama class over "Song of My Heart." The last will be announced at a later date. The seven characters in the play are follows: Kathryn, who lives at Wuthering; Heathecliffe, whom Kathryn loves; Edgar, whom Kathryn marries; Isabelle, Edgar's sister; Joseph, a servant at Wuthering; Ellen, Kathryn's maid; and Jenley, Kathryn's brother.
