She was accompanied by her sister, Dorlyne Hochuli. Vocal selections were presented by the Fackiner trio. Humorous and serious readings were given by Dr. Gerald S. Bash of Santa Ana, minister of the First Christion church of that city. Representatives of the Anaheim Optimist club attended a special Sunday evening service conducted by the Rev. Plan Breakfast For Solicitors Red Cross canvassing of the residential and rural areas will begin March 1, following a breakfast prepared by the Anaheim chapter's canteen for all drive workers at 7:30 o'clock at the Ebell club house. Reports on the progress made in the special groups, industrial areas and business district divisions of the drive now underway. New Dodge on Display at Boney's Friday The new Dodge will be on display in Anaheim, Friday, February 25 at the showrooms of Robert H. Boney, Dodge-Plymouth, 328 West Center street. New exterior styling, greater interior roominess, and a new higher compression "Get-Away" engine, feature the new Dodge cars, according to Mr. Boney. Dodge models are being manufactured on two wheelbases. The new Coronet and Meadowbrook models on a 123½ inch wheelbase, a 4-inch increase, replace the former custom and de luxe cars. A wholly new addition to the Dodge line is the lower-priced Wayfarer on a wheelbase of 115 inches. Functional design has resulted in an attractive exterior style with graceful body and fender lines and a new low silhouette. Massive sheet metal fender sections have been avoided. Fender units are bolted on and, if necessary, can be quickly and easily replaced at minimum inconvenience and at least cost. All models continue to feature the famous Dodge fluid drive as standard equipment. In addition, there is a new Gyro-Matic transmission which frees the driver from gear shifting. It will be available as optional equipment on Coronet models. "Jungle Bread" Film Shown at B.-P.W. Meeting How a primitive people obtain their "staff of life"—bread—transforms "Jungle Bread" Film Shown at B.-P.W. Meeting How a primitive people obtain their "staff of life"—bread—transforming a deadly poisonous root into nutritious bread, was shown in a film, "Jungle Bread," through the courtesy of Van de Kamp's Bakeries Wednesday evening at the bi-monthly meeting of the Business and Professional Woman's club at St. Michael's parish house. A large and appreciative group was present, this being the annual bosses night program. Following the showing of the film and the program presented by young Phillip Taylor playing two violin selections accompanied at the piano by Betty Stockwell, a light refreshment course was served. The film showed how the natives in the deepest jungle of Dutch Guiana, the proud arrogant Djukas, the bush negroes, descendants of slaves who escaped from early Dutch colonists, had game, fish, wild vegetables and fruit in abundance, yet they had no grain for bread. The craving of the Djukas for this energy-giving food was so desperate, so typical of peoples the world over, that they were compelled to use the extremely poisonous roots of the bitter Cassava plant as their source for flour. The manner by which the clever Djukas extracted the poison from these roots is a tribute to the creative capacity of a primitive people, who even today make their bread by this ancient process. Danger lurks within the Cassava tuber, a potato-shaped tuber, for it is saturated with a milky liquid which contains hydro-cyanic acid, commonly known as prussic acid. Chemists say that only three and one-third ounces of this liquid is enough to kill a person. Mr. Heilbron from the bakeries, born in Dutch Guiana, filmed this educational picture in the deep interior of his native land just two years ago. Combining the expedition with a visit to his mother, whom he had not seen for 24 years, Mr. Heilbron spent several months in the sub-tropical country taking the technical film shown to the club Wednesday evening. The next regular dinner meeting for the club will be on March FOR PROBATE OF WILL AND FOR LETTERS TESTAMENTARY In the Matter of the Estate of ADOLPH STANKEY, Deceased.
