TED EIMERS IS NAMED FOREMAN OF GRAND JURY
Ted Eimers who lives on Magellania avenue, Anaheim, and sells automobiles in Fullerton, has been named foreman of the 1948 Orange county grand jury which was empaneled by Superior Judge Raymond Thompson last weekend. The body of 19 men and women met briefly and elected Mr Albert Launder, Fullerton, in secretary.
The grand jury was empaneled early this year and is expected complete its work during the current calendar year instead of extending into the following calendar year as in the past.

Youth Rally in Greek Theater
The first outdoor Bowl Rally of Orange County Youth for Christ was held in the Anaheim Greek ampitheater, Anaheim city park, last Saturday evening, with Dr. Don Householder, pastor of Trinity Methodist church, Los Angeles, acting as principal speaker.
On the musical program were such artists as Phil Kerr, popular pianist and song writer; Wanda Crockett, harpist; the Trinity Methodist quartet; Jack Raines and his trombone trio; Les Barnett, former pianist for Rudy Valee; Paul Mickelson, organist at the Angelus Temple, and Russell Killman, sing master.
The 3000 seats in the local theater were offered free to those who wished to attend the interdenominational rally.
Milk Richer and Costs More Than It Did in 1947

Statistics for the Orange milk marketing area have been announced for March by the California crop and livestock reporting service.
Milk prices in the store were 19 cents per quart, as compared to 17 cents from March, 1947, while home delivered prices were 20 cents per quart compared to 18 cents the previous year.
The average butterfat test in the area was 3.84 per cent as compared to 3.65 in March, 1947.
The calculated average price paid producers was $5.48 per cent butterfat a year ago, while the calculated average price paid producers was $5.34 per hundred-weight, compared to $4.93 last year.
U.S.D.A. Guesses At Citrus Crop For Coming Year
If growing conditions continue satisfactory during the remainder of the year, California Valencia growers may expect to harvest an 81 per cent crop next year, compared to a 77 per cent crop this year, the U. S. Department of Agriculture estimates in its first "condition" report for the 1948-49 year which has just been released. The California navel crop is estimated at 83 per cent of a full crop compared to a 71 per cent crop last year.
Florida's early and midseason crop is estimated at 70 per cent while last year it was 66 per cent. Florida's Valencia crop was given a 68 per cent condition compared to 65 per cent this year.
California's lemon crop for the 1948-49 season was estimated at 76 per cent. The 1947-48 crop is 78 per cent full.

90,000 More Kids
An incerase of 90,000 children
in California's schools next
September is predicted by state
department of education officials.
Enrollment for the last school
year reached 1,582,787, compared
to 1,493,195 the year previous. The
predicted increase will be approximately 6 percent.
Gas Tax Gains
56.9% in Year
William G. Bonelli, chairman of
the State Board of Equalization,
has revealed that net revenues of $10,042,217, after refunds for non-highway use, were realized from gasoline distributions made in May. This represents a gain of 56.9 percent over the net revenues of the corresponding month of 1947, Bonelli said, resulting from an increase in the taxable gallonage and the change in rate of tax from 3 to 4½ cents per gallon which became effective July 1, 1947.
