Schedule Returning to the regular schedule of services, the Rev. John Kimball Saville, rector of St. Michael's Episcopal church, has released a full program for the month of September, with Holy Communion each Sunday morning at 8 o'clock and church school to resume meeting after the summer vacation on Sunday morning at 9:30 o'clock. A new Bible class will meet in 'the rectory at 10 a.m. while morning prayer service will again convene at 11 o'clock. The week day service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. with Holy Communion service on the fourth Thursday of every month this month the service coming on Sept. 26. Other services will be announced by the rector. CHURCH SCHOOL RESUMES Church school starts at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 22, with D. Last Rites for Clara Redmond Funeral services are being held this afternoon, Thursday, at 2 o'clock for Clara Redmond, 80, a former resident of Anaheim, at the Hilgenfeld chapel. Last Rites for Clara Redmond Funeral services are being held this afternoon, Thursday, at 2 o'clock for Clara Redmond, 80, a former resident of Anaheim, at the Hilgenfeld chapel. She died last Monday forenoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Jones, of Hollywood. For many years the family home was on South Magnolia Avenue. She was a native of Michigan, but a resident of California for 45 years. Surviving her are two sons, Earl Redmond of Richmond, California, and Russell Redmond of Altadena; one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Jones of Hollywood; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was a charter member of the Anaheim Foursquare Gospel church. Her late husband, Frank G. Redmond was the builder of that church which is located on West Broadway and Manchester avenues. Rev. Guy A. Mattin, pastor of the church is officiating at the service. Burial will be made in Inglewood Park cemetery. Archer, Guest Pastor at Free Methodist Rev. Francis J. Archer, formerly pastor of Seattle Pacific College church, will be guest preacher at the Free Methodist church at 290 West Broadway, next Sunday evening, the service beginning at 7:30 o'clock. Attend Christian Adventure Camp The Christian Adventure camp at Idyllwild recently was attended by nine members of the Intermediate Youth Fellowship of the White Temple Methodist church of Anaheim. Also present was their counselor, Mrs. Elva Andrews. Local campers included Marjorie Cranston, Mary Jo Duncan, Elva Lynn Glenn, Ruth McCarty, Marilyn Miller, Fernando Ramos, Rel Schmitt, Joanne Soden and Tommy Brown. Minnie M. Stewart Passes Away Thurs. Mrs. Minnie M. Stewart, beloved wife of John B. Stewart, passed away at the family home on Loara Road on Thursday of last week; Sept. 12. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, 66 years ago, she had been a resident of Anaheim since 1910. Left to mourn her passing are the husband; one son, John B. Stewart, Jr., of Anaheim; three daughters, Miss Mildred Stewart of Lynwood, Mrs. Abilene Allen of Nevada and Mrs. Edith Hatfield of Anaheim, and three grandchildren. Rev. Hayden S. Sears, pastor of White Temple Methodist church, conducted funeral rites from the chapel of Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars mortuary last Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial was in Fairlaven cemetery. Building Permits Total $280,000 A total of 28 building permits have now been taken out for homes to be built in the newly subsidized tract in West Anaheim, their combined value set at $280,-000. The four most recent permits were issued to L. P. Nichols and Alex Walker last Thursday. First occupant of the new tract is expected to be Maxwell Doyle of Fullerton, who will take up residence in the first house completed. A second home will be occupied during the following week. Green is the most relaxing color, and blue is called a "calming" color; yellow, orange and red are known as warm colors because they suggest heat and sunshine. Heads Harbor Stamp Club New president of the Harbor Stamp club is J. G. Jenkins, who was elected last week in order to fill the vacancy left by Kent Hitchcock of Lido Isle. According to reports, Hitchcock's business is demanding more and more of his time so, with regrets and "best wishes to the club," he tendered his resignation. Jenkins was formerly vice-president of the organization. A valuable collection of 19th century stamps was exhibited by James Howard at this meeting, which was held at the home of Vernon Orr, Newport Heights. The club will hold another meeting tonight, September 19, at Howard's residence, Fernando street, Balboa. Five More Local Men Join Army Five Anaheim men enlisted in the U.S. army this week, each one stating his desire to join in order to get the benefits of the G.I.Bill-of-Rights, which expires October 5. All graduates of Anaheim Union high school, the group includes Rudolph T. Blackstock, 17, son of Mrs. Frieda Baker, 1105 west Center street, who enlisted in the army air forces for three years; Robert M. Welsh, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Welsh, Sr., route 1, box 351, for three years in the army air forces; Delmar D. Rogers, 17, son of Mrs. Lavina Deuen, 1110 Diamond street, for 18 months; Devitt Barksdale, 18; son of Mrs. Rhoda Barksdale, route 1, box 206, for 18 months; Lawrence W. Rains, 18, route 1, box 114, for 18 months. The Christian Adventure camp at Idyllwild recently was attended by nine members of the Intermediate Youth Fellowship of the White Temple Methodist church of Anaheim. Need Cottons for Hospital Bed Pads A plea for clean cotton flannel and other cotton material suitable for making bed pads for hospitalized veterans was issued by the local Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary this week. Spokesman was Mrs. L. M. Wisser. Donations may be left at the local Red Cross headquarters on the second floor of the city hall, it was announced.
