Years' Separation
Jack M. Yorba, electrician in the U.S. Navy and son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernardo Yorba of Santa Ana Canyon, recently enjoyed a five day leave at home before proceeding to the University of Willamette in Oregon where he will receive further officer's training.
His leave at home coincided with a longer leave that his brother, Lt. Ben Yorba, AAF, is enjoying. The latter was liberated this spring from the German prison camp at Moosburg. This was the first time in three years that the brothers had seen one another.
Jack has been on duty in the Pacific sector and only recently returned to the states for officer's training. He has just completed a course at Princeton university and before reporting to the Oregon university was given a brief leave. At the conclusion of his present course he will return to California where he will receive further training in one of the local universities. Upon completion of the latter training he will be awarded his commission in the U.S. Navy.

Last year he was home for the big event and he hopes it will be that way again next year.
