And Jesus said, Who touched me? ... And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him ... for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy writes: "Jesus once asked, 'Who touched Me?' ... Jesus knew, as others did not, that it was not matter, but mortal mind, whose touch called for aid. Repeating his inquiry, he was answered by the faith of a sick woman. His quick apprehension of this mental call illustrates his spirituality."
Church Programs Heard Saturdays
Originating in the beautiful Mother Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, a new series of religious programs by electrical transcription, is being heard over Station KFOX at 4:15 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays, one of 92 stations throughout the nation carrying the program. The series is a weekly one, scheduled to continue for at least a year.
The rich full tones of the 6,000 pipe organ, played by Ruth Barret Arno, Mother Church organist, and the famous voice of The Mother Church soloist, Robert Hall Collins, combine with that of a selected speaker to produce a splendid inspirational religious program.
The use of radio is not new to The First Church of Christ, Scientist, but the new program is a forward step in familiarizing listeners with activities of Christian Science.

Handling of Casualty Messages Governed by Strict Regulations
One of the most tense and exciting spots in Anaheim is conducted in a quiet, business-like office that belies the fact that it is a "key spot" and records the heart warming happiness, or the heart breaking sadness, of many of the town's residents. Known to all as "Western Union" the office is more than a business place for the joys and sorrows of the townspeople are frequently recorded on those yellow slips of paper known as telegrams. Three hundred percent more telegrams are handled here than in pre-war days and 800 percent more money orders and of the latter a large percentage have to do with, "Send me some money, Dad. Have a furlough. Coming home."
The personnel of the office is well equipped to cope with wartime demand; and the various needs that are placed upon it and the kindliness and sympathy that is part of each is passed on when needed. They know, too, the joys and the anxieties that telegrams can bring. Earl Hudson, manager since 1922, has a son in service, Flight Officer Ray Hudson who is attached to the Army Transport Command and who is now on his way overseas. Mrs. Opal Rimpau, his assistant, has two sons and two brothers who are overseas or are about to return overseas on their second missions. Her sons are Captain "Bob" Rimpau, Navy pilot and Donald, U.S.N. who serves aboard an aircraft carrier. Geraldine Deering and Gordon Simms complete the staff.
The staff is proud of the part they've played in helping achieve casualty lists come through and the one who was "missing in action" is acknowledged back with his outfit.
If the one to whom the telegram is addressed cannot be located then every effort is made to find him and this frequently entails contacting the selective service, ration board, Red Cross or even the high school principal. Rain or shine, regardless of expense, the telegrams are delivered.
Young Worker Seeks Room To Rent
A smiling young woman rang the doorbell of an Anaheim home yesterday and in one hand she carried a lunch sack. When the door opened she asked "Have you a room to rent? I work over there" and she waved in the direction of the packing houses and several large industrial plants. "I saw this large house and thought you might and I need a room badly," she said in her pleasant manner.
The woman answering the doorbell shook her head, "I'm sorry, all the rooms are occupied."
The doorbell ringer said more desperately, "Do you know of anyone who has an empty room to rent?"
"I know of empty rooms." was the answer, "but no one will rent them."
The young woman tured

The staff is proud of the part they've played in helping achieve the scroll of appreciation awarded the Western Union Telegraph Co.
last June, by Major General H. C.
Ingles, Chief Signal Corps officer in the United States Army. The scroll, prominently displayed in the office window, reads, "In appreciation for the loyal and patriotic service in accomplishing its vital missions during a period of national emergency. This acknowledgement of your distinct contribution in furtherance of a future world at peace will be inscribed forever in the annals of the Signal Corps."
The sad duty of delivering those double-starred casualty messages from the War and Navy departments falls mostly on Mrs. Rimpau and strict rules govern their delivery. They MUST be delivered in the written form, not over the telephone or by anyone who is not an accredited member of the company and they can only be delivered from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. Every effort must be made to deliver them promptly and considerate handling is an essential that Mrs. Rimpau is well qualified for.
If the telegram carries a death message she stays with the one receiving the message until the first shock has passed and in case of severe shock asks permission to call a neighbor or close friend. In a city the size of Anaheim it is a sad duty, for she knows and sorrows with so many who have received the double-starred telegrams.
There are the happy moments though when a correction of the
