SALE OF TAX DEEDED LOTS
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Anaheim will at the meeting of said council to be held at the city hall on April 18, 1941, sell the hereinafter described property upon the conditions and the manner hereinafter set forth:
1. Sealed bids will be accepted by the City Clerk for the purchase of said lots up to 8:00 o'clock P.M. of April 15, 1941 Upon the opening of said bids the same will be announced publicly, and thereupon any person present may increase the highest bid for any parcel by a bid at least ten (19%) per cent higher than the highest thereof, and thereupon the City Council will entertain additional oral bids All bids, whether written or oral, shall be accompanied by cash or a certified check in an amount equal to at least twenty (29%) per cent of the bids as a guarantee of faithful performance, and upon the failure of the bidder to pay the balance of the purchase price at the time that a deed and policy of title insurance is issued to him, such 26% deposit shall be forfeited to the City.
2. This property is offered upon the understanding that in the event said City is unable to convey title free and clear of encumbrances, except restrictions, conditions and rights-of-way of record, that said City will be without liability for such failure to convey, and thereupon the purchase price or any part thereof deposited by the bidder shall be returned to him by the City.
3. With each deed the City will deliver to the purchaser a policy of title insurance to be issued by the Orange County Title Company in an amount not to exceed the purchase price, insuring the title to be in the purchaser free and clear of all encumbrances, except 'conditions', restrictions and rights-of-way of record.
4. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids offered.

The annual shows were instituted in 1938 under the direction of
Miss Lena May Willsey, art teacher
at Loara school. Each show has
been a huge success and this year
the various committees and officers are working daily to make
this the greatest held.
The judges for this event are

at Orangethorpe school.

Dwight E. Magill Called by Death
Funeral services for Dwight E. Magill, 54, who died yesterday at Joseph hospital, will be connected tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. from the Smith & Tuthill chapel.

Magill had resided in the Anaheim vicinity for 51 years, being a resident of West Ball road. He is survived by his widow, Edna; three children, Mrs. Marjorie Edwards of Santa Paula, Edwin Magill of Burbank and George Magill of Anaheim; a brother James of Orange; two sisters, Mrs. Peryl Clanton of Norwalk and Mrs. Julia Helmkin of Santa Ana, and two grandchildren.
